How to format:
Typing in Courier is necessary to the authentic Homestuck experience! You don't want to end up with some totally stupid SBHJ font and end up looking like a tool.
Follow the following format for changing font:
Write (font=Courier) write whatever needs to be in that font and then write (/font) to end what will be in that font, replacing parentheses with square brackets ( like these --> [])
You can replace Courier with the name of another font if you need to use a different one. Make sure to include spaces.
Alternately, you can click on the little red A in the top right of the toolbar and replace Verdana with the font of your choice.
Colors are also important, especially when writing pesterlogs.
> Reader: Be John.
You are now JOHN EGBERT.
Can you imagine yourself typing in any color than your friendly old BLUE?
> John: Imagine typing in Rose's PURPLE or Dave's RED.
You cannot. You simply cannot. The idea is preposterous.

Write (color=Blue)the words you want, like nic cage is so cool! (/color), again with square brackets instead of parentheses. If there is a space in the color name, take it out. Or, you can just highlight the words you need to be in a color, click the "Colors" thing to the right of the toolbar, and pick your color. If it isn't on there, click any color and switch the color itself out with the color of your choice.
