Good old cursed week. Not something I was particularly interested in. I waved goodbye to everyone, save Sako and Saki whom I dragged along with me, as they headed towards the quidditch fields. I was doing my best to avoid my brother this year - I didn't want to repeat the incident that happened the last time I went to one of those quidditch things. Needless to say, I ended up in Dr. Naputi's office for... well, two days. But by Hogwarts standards, that's a looong time.
"Hey, Zu."
I whirled around. "Yeah?"
"Do you even know where you're going?" Saki asked.
"Um... well," I glanced at the stone walls. "Yes?"
"No. I thought we were going to go to the Divination room to-"
"The tower with the divination room is that way," someone spoke. The three of us turned to see Alathea Hendricks; one of the Hufflepuff prefects.
"Yeah, I knew you were lost," Saki said and pointed at me.
My mouth dropped open in fake exasperation. "How dare you accuse me of such an unlikely event!"
"I can show you the way, if you'd like," Alathea chirped.
"Um... no thanks," Sako responded quickly. "We know the way there."
"Except for YOU," Saki added, looking at me.
Alathea shrugged and continued walking down the hall and we turned and headed for the divination tower. By the time we arrived, it was almost time to start heading to class. Saki, who was too lazy to climb the stairs, went back to the quidditch field to see everyone else.
Sako and I climbed up - tedious, since the divination room was at the top of the tower. By the time we reached it, we were both out of breath - and my legs were aching. I could only have imagined how Sako felt. I wandered into the divination room, surprised to find it empty.
"Next time you lose your scarf, you can come back and get it by yourself," Sako spoke.
I smiled back at her awkwardly. "Um... I did say it might be here. I don't see it, though..." As I spoke; I tripped.
"Ah, talented I see. Tripping on air again."
I rubbed my stomach and sat up, staring at the ground. "No, I could swear there's something there."
"Yeah, right," Sako rolled her eyes. I shushed her and listened hard; sure enough, there was a light rustling sound. Then, the invisibility cloak fell off and out crawled an Archeopteryx - one of those odd bird-reptile mixtures - which fled from the scene. "...was that a-?"
"SCARFY!" I shouted, and grabbed my lovely jet-black scarf, which had been tucked under the cloak. I held it up, and shook the fabric, before pulling the cloak over my head.
"Too bad," Sako spoke. "Looks like the charm has worn off... but that was awfully strange. And we need to get to class, so drop it and let's go!"
Clutching my scarf, the two of us clomped down the stairs and made our way to the bowels of Hogwarts for potions. Outside I greeted Katie and cast a glare at my brother who was busy trying to flirt with Clara. She, of course, brushed him off with a charming smile and took her seat. I sat with Sako and prepared for taking notes.

In History of Magic, we had a "quick" review on what we studied last term, which ended up taking up the whole period. Basically once we heard the word "review" every Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff began starting their homework for various other classes. SMOOOOOOOOOOOONIA (how could I forget teh Smoni? ;~ , Saki, Edmund, and Charlotte joined Rachel, JinAh, Will, and I in homeworking. We Ravenclaws had Transfiguration the next day, so we decided to finish up our assignments for Selachii first, while the Puffehuffs took a large chunk out of their Herbology assignment. By the time the bells chimed signalling the end of classes for the day and Binns ceased his ghostly dronings, everyone had finished their assignments due the next day and had the rest of the weekend to finish up any other classes. Since clubs had not yet started, we went straight to the Ravenclaw common room (this does not include Saki, Charlotte, and/or Edmund, them not being being Ravenclaws but Puffehuffs, clearly). "BLARGH, THIS IS SO CONFUSING," a frustrated Will shouted, startling JinAh and I out of our Arithmancy problem set (causing us to spill ink all over parchment) and Rachel out of writing an essay on the twelve uses of dragon's blood. Will was staring at JinAh's arithmancy textbook, which was opened up to a numerological chart that was used to calculate numbers for different situations. "... Will, why are you reading my Arithmancy textbook? You don't even take Arithmancy! Anyways, shouldn't you be finishing up your DADA essays?" JinAh gestured towards Will's three half-finished essays while I used Tergeo to siphon the ink off of my nearly finished problem set. "Mneh, that can wait." Suddenly, Will got a horribly familiar devious look on his face, a bright light lighting up the bottom of his face in an evil way, as if... "Could you cut out the Lumos, please? It's really cheesy," Rachel complained. "Fine. Nox." The light went out and Will turned back to normal. Or. More normal. "Excuse me for trying to make the scene more exciting." "... You were saying?" I asked, impatiently awaiting whatever plan Will had this time. "Yes, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted (he shot a look at Rachel, who shrugged), I found an interesting room of sorts inside Hogwarts Castle..." "Well that's not unusual at all," I said, dryly. "... Oh. Right. Continue." "Thank you. Anyways, inside this room..." Rachel, JinAh, and I leaned in, eager to hear what Will had to say. "...were lots and lots of giant squishy numbers!" The atmosphere of the conversation became much less dramatic and almost comical. Thusly, we (besides Will) burst out laughing. ooc/ must end here maybe will continue later.

Yeah lets begin! The sun was perfectly clouded, great time to run. You don't have to be in too much heat! As we finished all our laps we went and started flying around, to get ready. As we worked I noticed a boy's broom being very odd. It was like at my cousin's party when they rode bulls, and this kid couldn't fight it very well. Oh goodness I hope he aint being hexed, thats Our job. As I continue watching him with an amused smile on, everyone else seems to do so as well. Guilder shakes his head in minor amusment as the boy screams. Sadly someone waved their wand and created giant purple mushrooms to catch him if he falls. And sure enough he does, and falls on the spotted one. Then he does this almost fall thing, and keeps tumbling until he hits the ground with a flop. I notice Kenna running toward some spectators. Oh boy, hope she doesn't fry them. This was her idea. Then I notice my friends are there, oh goodness they ruined fun. I frown as I begin to walk over there, but before I can get there Guilder glides over to them. Then she waves franticly. "CALL OFF OPERATION CRACK OF DAWN!" she screams, and I frown. Darn it, that would have been perfect! I was so ready to push them in with the baby dragons and fire breathing snakes. After a long time things started going smoothly again and me and Kenna planned for Operation to still go. Only without Guilder there....hehe. I watched suspisially all the specators and felt a very annoyed glare come to. Jinah was taking notes. Her team would not win. Not with a long shot. They would be kicked in place at the game. Finally at 2:05 Guilder whistels and we take a little break. "Okay guys, come tomarrow for normal practice. Oh and guys, go to sleep early. We will now have morning practice as well." Guilder smiles at us and mouths two words to us. Without me.I rush to the group and sneak toward Jinah trying to steal her notes. Unfourtantly a loud banging noise erupted from a broom cupboard which made her jump. Darn it was so close. After the weird boys leave, Kenna and I excuse ourselves to some boring homework and then maybe plan the evil for tomarrow morning. "Hehehehe, I love organizing Cursed Week!" Kenna says myscheviously. "Me too. Me too." "Lets wake them up with a boom!" I laugh and we agree, cursed week is great for organizers and spectators, but not people in it. Also We are so getting Cameron. Last year he was dreadful so we have to get them back. Cursed week is a go! And tomarrow morning hopefully with some help, we will go into the forbidin woods!

Fffffffffffffffffffffffff I just realized, how do we actually decide who wins for quidditch games? I suggest that at least two people per house play the Quidditch games on the HP website, average out the scores, and then use that to calculate each match.

I'd just finished my last stroke for Charms homework when the last bell of the day rung in our ears and we all left the classroom as fast s we could without plain running. The chamber even looked boring... Just dreary gray bricks all the way up to the white-washed ceiling.
Dinner was much better. DINNERRRR! I dug into an egg sandwich, some black olives, and teriyaki beef. I would grow fat off of this school yet.
I daydreamed about flying as my friends and sister talked. Watching the Cursed week practice had been concerning, amusing, and had rekindled my desire to learn how. I'd gotten at least decently proficient by the end of my first year, but now I didn't have that class anymore, and I hadn't flown since. Never had the opportunity. Maybe if I managed to get a broom....
I smiled gloomily to myself as I figured that would probably be impossible. For lots of reasons. Ah well. I guess I'd just have to wait until I graduated and got a job. ....What kind of careers did wizards have, anyway? I dreamed up a dozen possibilities before my friends shook me back into reality.
"We gotta get back before curfew, Lo," said Kris in a bit of a motherly tone.
"Alright!" I smiled, hopped up, and yawned. It had been a tiring day.
"Goodnight, sweet sister," I kissed the top of Genevieve's head and gave her a big hug. She left me with a goodnight of her own and skipped off after my Ravenclaws with Ellie.
Goodness, I was sleepy. I went over to Saki and put my head on her shoulder.
"You have very comfortable shoulders," I complimented.
"Queen Mab."
Soon enough, we had crawled into our cozy bed and lit the fireplace so that it was glowing softly and warmly. Without even knowing it, we all comfortably fell asleep....
That night I dreamed of being chased by the FBI and having to stop a musical from happening so that the mall wouldn't blow up. And I owed a teapot model a thousand bucks.
ooc/ ACTUAL DREAM. It was a dream, and it was a musical. The teapot lady sang and danced. And I had lots of visions of many different kinds of teapots. ._. So... much... porcelain....

so, that's a saturday, and many shenanigans should ensue. And we'll make the Ravenclaws not do homework, they were diligent enough to get it all done the previous night. xD Hogwarts has nowhere near the workload of your current highschools. let's just hang around... and meet miss nefries!

[glow=red,2,300]A bright Blue orb follows us around our room as we get ready. We put on running shoes, grab our wands and not our brooms. Willow mutters in her sleep about the light so we soon go to another place. [/glow] "Kenna, lets make it into our patronous." Kenna nod and agree to say the spell outside. We then go to the 4th year male section of the dorms. I motion to Kenna and she nods, and then zaps Cameron with a mild fire spell. HE yelps and then gets up glaring at us, taking heed to be quiet. We smile and Kenna makes a note with the wand. [glow=red,2,300]"We are going to meet up in the Qudditch area, please get most of the boys, not Guilder and meet us there."[/glow]Then we smile and go find Maria. Once we wake up her, we go to the boy's dorm to see if Cameron indeed woke everyone up. He did, because a water was dripping where their heads would be. Man he was angry.
Once at the quidditch feild I talk to all of them in a normal tone. "Hello, hope you are up today. Today we are going to run in the forbiddin forest. We will provide the light, and keep up. If you slow down the centaurs or something even worse could catch you." The group shivders and Trevor one of the subs lifts up his hand. "Yes Trevor?" Kenna asks "What if one of us gets injured or quits?" "Then the people take your position. Mind you I am manager right now, but that doesn't mean I can't play." Kenna say, and then she looks to me and nods. We take out our wands and quickly speak. "Expecto Patronum!" Mine shows up as a wolf, one that once instantly turns alert and looks around. Kenna's is a Hawk, one that flaps its wings instantly. We then produce two more lights and nod to the group. "Which one of us do you want to lead?" They point at me, since Kenna could blow up whatever they are chasing. "Okay then, lets go." Then we go to the forbidden forest to run five miles at a eight minute pace. Not fast, but not slow either.

Ah, the weekend. How I love it so. I had some reading to do for Potions and a composition to write for DADA -- 15 inches -- but that wasn't going to take too much time. Not to mention, I was HUNGRAY.
"Willow Willow Willow Willow Willow," I said by Willow's face until she opened her eyes. "It's time for breeeeeakfaaaaast!" I sang.
"Fooooooooood," she moaned in typical Willowy fashion.
We threw our clothes on and raced downstairs. I saw the the Huffly Puffles making their way down the corridor and I attacked Sonia.
"SONIA WE ARE GOING TO EAT AND BE MERRY," I said.
"YES THAT SOUNDS VERY GOOD NOW PUT ME DOWN SIR," she replied. I set her down and she fluffed her hair.
We made our way into the banquet hall and I elbowed some first years out of our way. "I'm sorry, folks, but we take our eating very seriously and you are quite in our way."
There was a spread of fruit, toast, poundcake, bagels, eggs, doughnuts, cereals, various jams and jellies (of fruits both familiar and unfamiliar), bacon, sausage, and a variety of things which I didn't recognize. I grabbed some strawberries, raisin toast, bacon, dragonfruit jam (it sounded interesting), and some pillowy, cakey looking things. I didn't know what they were but they were soft and delicious so I didn't care.
We all intermingled (except for most of the Slytherins) because everyone had friends across houses. The seating arrangement was: Willow, Sonia, me, JinAh, Vi, and Rachel. Across from us were Saki, Charlotte, Edmund, Will, Sebastian, and Sako.
"This poundcake," said Will with his mouth half-full. "Is absolutely heavenly. I think I might die." He clutched his heart and rolled his eyes up to his head in pure joy. We were all kind of staring at him in amazement because he had swallowed the cake in two seconds flat and proceeded to shove sausage into his mouth, followed by toast, eggs, some strange looking berries, more poundcake, doughnuts, all followed by a huge gulp of milk. We looked at him, aghast.
He finally seemed to notice that he had an audience. "What?" he asked. "I'm a growing boy."
We chuckled and went back to our food.
"What should we do today?" Sonia asked.
"Go to Hogsmeade?" I suggested.
"Actually," began Vi, "I was going to go to the library and try to get ahead of things." JinAh and Rachel nodded in agreement.
"Well, we can go tomorrow then," I said.
"I know you lovely ladies consider the dusty smell of books absolutely titillating," started Will.
"Thaaaaat's what she said," I whispered to Sonia, who giggled madly.
"But I believe the rest of us would prefer to do something that's ACTUALLY exciting today," Will finished.
"I've always wanted to learn to fly a broomstick," Charlotte said.
Will clapped his hands together. "That's it! We're going to have an impromptu amateur Quidditch match today!" A cheer went up at the table.
"Everybody meet at the Quidditch field at ten, all right? We'll practice for a while, break for lunch, and then have our game afterward," he directed.
Now that we had something to do today, we all went to our rooms to put on some suitable broomstick-flying gear.
/all right I guess that's where I'll leave it.

It was seven-thirty by the time I woke up from my sound sleep. It took me a few seconds before it registered that it was Saturday and that I did not have to wake everyone else up. I wandered into the bathroom where I proceeded to do my daily morning routine: showering, brushing teeth, combing hair, washing face, contacts, etc.
On the way back to my bed, I snatched a few (text)books from my bookshelf along with my wand and headed down the spiral staircases to the common room.
The airy common room was empty, save for a few students who had fallen asleep over their textbooks and parchments. I opened up my copy of Numerology and Grammatica and began flipping through and reading portions that seemed vaguely interesting.
I glanced at the clock. It was eight. On the weekends, breakfast started later than usual (at nine o' clock sharp) and the food lasted for about two hours, to accommodate for lazy teenagers. Slowly, more and more people trickled down until it was nine o' clock. Agnes and Emily and JinAh had come down, but no sign of Rachel. Again. A quick jinx solved that problem.
"Forcing someone to wake up by use of a Dancing Feet Jinx is cruel and unusual punishment!" Rachel ranted on the way down to the Great Hall.
"Oh, be quiet," JinAh said. "We could have used something much, much worse." We left it at that and began discussing what shenanigans we were going to undertake over the weekend, though except for Rachel, our plans consisted of mostly finishing up our Charms homework and studying for Herbology, Astronomy, and Potions. Rachel suggested sleeping until Monday.
At ten o' clock sharp, about twenty minutes after we reached the Great Hall, a great flock of owls entered the Great Hall, dropping packages and letters and periodicals left and right. A large barn owl dropped the latest publication of The Daily Prophet and the October issue of Numerology while JinAh and Rachel got issues of Potioneer's Monthly and Protego, respectively. Will continued to eat like a maniac. As we were flipping through our geeky magazines, our Pufflehuff friends came up to us, followed shortly by our Gryffindor and Slytherin friends. They began spitballing ideas about where to go and what to do today. I suggested we go to the library to get ahead in our schoolwork. They were slightly miffed by the idea of getting ahead in our schoolwork, but agreed with going to the library.
So, our legion of friends marched up to the third floor and entered the library's large wooden doors. There was an unfamiliar young woman behind the counter, but we paid her no mind and dispersed to our favorite parts of the libraries to peruse. Forty-five minutes later, as we had agreed, we met at the front of the library to check out our books. The same lady that we had seen at the beginning of the library appeared to help us check out our books. We each took the magical quill at the counter and wrote our names on the cards in each of the books. Our names glowed a little bit before settling on the page, proof that it had been registered and approved for check-out, without the need for a library card. I checked out New Theory of Numerology, Magical Theory, and Muggle Magic, while Rachel, who was standing behind me, had a whole tower of books on Greek Mythology. Charlotte was the last to check out her books.
"Is Madam Darlenn on leave?" Charlotte pleasantly asked the woman helping us checking out our books.
"Oh, no," she responded. "She retired just yesterday when she decided that she was too old for this kind of thing and sent the Headmaster an owl with her retirement. She had wanted to stay for a little bit at first just to see if she really wanted to retire, but after some sixth years brought butterbeer into the library for the fifth time that day, she had had it with the Hogwarts students and left."
"Headmaster Sceoppend was able to find a new head librarian that quickly?" asked Will, who seemed impressed and not at all upset that Madam Darlenn had left.
"Well, yes, and no. See, I was hired as the new assistant librarian for this school year, and when Madam Darlenn retired, logically, I became the head librarian. I'm Mia Nefries, by the way."
We all introduced ourselves to Miss Nefries who greeted us warmly and seemed happy by our love for books, apparent by the many books we were all carrying. We bid good-by to our new librarian, sure that we would see her again many, many times over the course of the school year.

I was having this really scary dream about a hugeee whale with red eyes flying in the air and spraying radioactive stuff everywhere when I woke up. Sunlight... coming in window.. quiet... nobody running frantically around... It must be Saturday! That was enough to get me out of bed. I went and got dressed and all the other things and then went back into bed to draw stuff and wait for everyone else to get up.
Ten mintues later, after drawing three almost-flawless figures but with no movement in my room, I figured that the rest of my bunkmates must either be drugged up or... really sleepy. I assumed the latter. I looked around but, whelp, no one was in the room in the first place. I felt really stupid. They must have been waiting in the Common Room for me. So down to the Common Room I went.
"Jeez, sorry guys... I thought you all were asleep." I rubbed my wet hair.
They were all sitting around at a table - Saki, Edmund, Charlotte, Bridgette, and Adella - talking amongst themselves.
"It's okay," said Adella. "let's just go and eat."
La la la, walking down to the Great Hall.. we met up with our other groupies, and Adella and Bridgette broke off from the group. Breakfast was heavenly, and we decided to follow Vi to the library and then have an amateur Quidditch match. This was going to prove to be fun.
So there turned out to be a new librarian, and she seemed okay. At least she wasn't the old hag, Madam Darlenn. Will cracked a few mildly amusing jokes about her, we picked up a few books, and left.
QUIDDITCH TEEEIMMSDLAKFSDFJFF. We went off to our respective rooms and put on "respectable broomstick-flying gear" and proceeded to run down to the field. Now, I didn't have a broomstick, and niether did anyone else, really, so we borrowed some from the school. They were a little beat up... and by a little, I mean they looked like they had been run over by a train carrying three hundred rhinos and then thrown into a mine field. But they would have to do.
"Alright! People, listen up! Obviously I am the one in charge here!"
"Shut up, Will," said Laura. She elbowed him near the groin.
"OW, OW, OW, THAT HURT, OW." He squeaked pitifully and crumpled to the ground.
Everyone congregated to watch this scene. Edmund offered his arm to Will. "Not to worry, at least you have one left... I think." Sebastian giggled wildly. Will groaned.
"Now that that's taken care of, I am the one in charge," announced Laura, standing on ... the ground. "We are going to divide up into teams. Now, go off and divide amongst yourselves, young ones!"
Will, Sebastian, and Edmund split off into a beginning of a team. "Team Chupacabra! Come hither!" Saki ran over to the boys, followed by Sako and Charlotte.
There were twelve of us, and six people were already on Team Chupacabra, so the remaining people were on one team. I jumped on Laura's shoulders. "TEAM OVERCOOKED BROCCOLI, OVER HERE!"
Charlotte raised her hand. "I highly resent your team name; can you change it please? No broccoli deserves to be overcooked! In the name of the law!"
Rachel spoke up. "WE SHOULD BE THE AVENGERS." JinAh facepalmed. Vi facepalmed. "What," said Rachel. "They're badass."
"I say Geek Squad," Vi said.
"Inception," JinAh whispered.
"AUDREY HEPBURN." Willow.
"This is insane," said Laura. "We should combine all the names. It'd be really confusing but awesome."
Vi stroked her nonexistent beard. "Avenged Audrey Broccoli Inception Geeks?" People nodded. This was good.
"Dear Merlin, hurry yourselves up already! We're waaaaaaaaiting!" Will yelled at us.
Everyone got their brooms. Since Charlotte was the one who wanted to ride a broom in the first place, she got to be the first one to fly. She stood next to the broomstick. "UP," she commanded, just like we were taught in our first year at Hogwarts. The broom came shakily to the palm of her hand, but stayed there. She stared at it for a bit in deep concentration, and then looked over to us, grinning.
"You haven't died yet," called Sebastian. "Good going!" Edmund clapped and hooted. Everyone else sort of cleared the area.
Charlotte put her leg over the broom and gripped tightly. I bounced up and down. Please don't get hurt, Charlotte, please don't get hurrrrrrt. "What if she gets hurt! What do we do?! Do we get in trouble?!" I asked JinAh.
"Charlotte will be fine. See -- look! Ah! There she goes!"
Sure enough, Charlotte was pretty beastly at riding a broom for the first time. "WHEEEE! LOOK AT ME, GUYS! I'M RIDING THIS BROOMSTICK!" We cheered. Success! "Come on you guys, it's not even that hard -- ahh," Her broom faltered and trembled but she regained control.
We took this as our cue to try broomriding too. I stood next to a decent-looking broom and said, "Up." Nothing. I tried my Scottish voice. "Up." Still nothing. Indian? "UP!" The stupid broom stayed where it was. Finally, I tried my manly voice. "UP!!" THWACK. It hit my palm hard. "Jeezuz," I mumbled to Willow, who was climbing on to her broom. "Do all Quidditch players have manly voices?!"
She put on her own manly voice. "Of course they do! How else are they so dashingly attractive?!"
Vi and Rachel were already in the air. Rachel seemed to be having a bit of trouble. "Stop bouncing, horrid broom," she told it.
"That probably won't help, you know. You've gotta believe in yourself. Believe, Rachel!" As Vi said this, someone broke out in some Journey. You could never escape that one.
I mounted the broom and took off into the air. Dang, this was difficult. I focused my attention on staying upright. Now, everyone was flying around - albeit wobbly. Sebastian and Will had some squishy foam balls - they weren't the actual Quidditch balls, because, well, for obvious reasons - *pan out to Sako flipping upside down on her broom* - well, we weren't the most experienced players.
"TEAMS! TO YOUR PLACES," Will roared. Everyone assembled. He tossed a large, red ball up into the air. JinAh whipped out her wand and put a jiggly spell on it. Bludger number one.
All the balls were ready, and the game begun. (/ooc this game will be really hard to explain.) It was a little slow-paced. Charlotte, Sebastian, and Saki were the best ones on broomsticks. Willow was probably the worst. You could tell her forte was not so much in physical sports but in the fine arts. The two other boys were alright, I was shaky, Laura was confident enough to keep her broom mostly level, Vi and Rachel had control of their brooms, and JinAh and Sako's kept going crazy.
Team Chupacabra scored four times; the Avenged Audrey Broccoli Inception Geeks scored one. Finally, our team was getting one of the Quaffles close to the goal. JinAh was guarding one of the hoops, and the ball came hurtling at the butt of her broom -
WHAP!
"Ohmygosh, JinAh!" cried Charlotte. JinAh and her broom were pushed onto the goal pole, and she slid at breakneck speed to the sandy ground below. Crap.
Vi, Laura, and Willow landed and rushed over to her immideately (/ooc cannot spell D:). It was so far below.. they looked like little matchbox cars... I felt dizzy. I hoped JinAh was okay. I led my broom to the ground and tossed it aside.
"Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh," mumbled Vi. "She's out cold."
Sako came up beside us. "What do we do?! JinAh~~~"
"We should get her to the infirmary." Will's voice changed... he sounded almost serious. I almost wanted to say, 'y so srs?' but I didn't think now was the time.
Sebastian slung JinAh over his shoulder and we all ran down the field and into the school. Up three flights of stairs. Down the long corridor. First door - spacious, white-tiled room on the left.
There didn't seem to be anyone there, and the infirmary was silent except for our own huffing and puffing.
"Anyone there?" Willow called. She walked around the room, looking for any inhabitants. Sebastian set JinAh on the first bed and Rachel sat down beside her.
Charlotte and Edmund went up to a long marble table with a bell, and rang it. A muffled voice came from the back room, followed by the school nurse, Doctor Naputi.

Well, the day had started out nicely enough.
I'd gotten up, put on a blouse, jeans, my high-tops and a headband someone had given me for my birthday. (That had been a happy, happy day.) I'd piled my breakfast plate with bacon (BACONNNN) and those cakey things (CAKEY THINGGSSS) and a glass of pumpkin juice. My dad, upon hearing about pumpkin jiuce one summer, bought a pumpkin, squeezed as much juice out of it as he could, and had me drink it. ....It tastes nowhere near to the lovely experience you get when you drink the stuff at Hogwarts. Maybe they put in really good spices. Maybe they charmed it to taste good.
After that, we'd gone to the library. Yay, the liiiiibrary~~~ Wizarding libraries are even more exciting than muggle ones, if you can imagine that. I don't even remember what I got, I just got a lot. It was awesome.
The new librarian was interesting enough. Well, pretty delightful, actually. I mean, I had nothing against Madam Darnell, but she was a whooooole lot more cranky than Miss Nefries seemed to be. I liked the look of her. She was about as tall as Rachel and didn't look much older than us, her robes were pink and green with silvery lining, she wore jeans and converse, and had a sweet, eager expression on her face, though she kept fidgeting with her glasses. As we left, I thought I saw a copy of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe sitting in her chair. That made me smile. A lot. I'd look forward to some more visits to the library.
I was delighted by the thought of a Quidditch game! I mean, I really wasn't good at sports. Seriously. I couldn't throw or aim or anything very well, had no strength or endurance, was quite clumsy, and in a real game I wouldn't stand a chance. But, as I felt my feet lifting off the ground for the first time in three years, I slowly gained more and more confidence. I love heights. I know it's weird, but they thrill me. So I started flying around, whizzing around trees and swerving past the wall of the castle and diving right into the sky! I felt invincible and wonderful and like my dreams were coming true!
"WHEEEE! LOOK AT ME, GUYS! I'M RIDING THIS BROOMSTICK!"
YAY FOR SCREAMING THE OBVIOUS WHEN YOU'RE EXCITED!
((ooc/ I want to flyyyyyy.... But srsly, when school gets out this year, I'm going to scream at the top of my lungs, "I'M A HIGH SCHOOLER, EVERYONE, I'M A HIGH SCHOOLER! AT LONG LAST, I'M A HIGH SCHOOLER!"))
We started our game, and I didn't really help anyone out that much, but at least I wasn't out of control and was enjoying myself. I loved our opposing team's name. I was pretty impressed by how much skill and familiarity Sebastian seemed to have with a broomstick, no wonder he was on the Ravenclaw team. I wondered if Jin Ah had shown him her notes. Will seemed to be pretty familiar with a broom as well, but he had more skill in being able to fly fast than accurately going in the direction he wanted to.
So yes, the day was going simply splendidly! Until--
"Ohmygosh, Jin ah!"
Jin Ah knocked into a pole and fell right down to the ground! And she was unconscious!!!! And AHHHHH!!!
We rushed her over to the Hospital Wing. Edmund and I searched around for Doctor Naputi, who seemed to be bothered a bit about the need to attend a patient, but came over to have a look at her anyway.
"Broken arm," he grumbled. "I'll be able to mend it in a jiffy, don't worry."
"What about her being all unconscious and.... er...." I said concernedly.
"Oh, minor head trauma. Just knocked out for a bit, I don't think it affected anything serious. She'll probably just have a blasting headache when she wakes up."
We shifted uncomfortably. He wasn't exactly the most comforting nurse Hogwarts had ever had.
"Get me some of that Skell-o-mend, boy!" he shouted to a corner of the room, and out of a passage we hadn't noticed before came... Ogilvy! The same guy from Flourish and Blotts who had saved Sako's life! Those of us who had been there dropped our mouths open.
He didn't seem to recognize us as we did him. Apparently our incident that day hadn't been terribly significant enough for him to remember our faces. He passed the bottle to Dr. Naputi without glancing our way.
"Ogilvy!" exclaimed Sonia at last. He looked up and over at us with that same surprised look he had given me when I'd first met him, and still looked a bit confused as we gawked at him.
"I'm sorry, have we met?"
"Yes, at Flourish and Blotts," said Rachel coolly.
"You saved Sako's foot from that Growing Gelatin, remember?" I said, and pointed at her, and she waved.
"Hm...? Oh! Oh, yes, I remember you now! Enjoying Hogwarts so far?"
We nodded, but Willow, Laura, Saki, Kris and the boys seemed pretty surprised to find we'd met other people before we'd all joined up together that day.
"We're doing fine," said Vi. "Well, except for Jin Ah getting a broken arm during our amateur Quidditch game...."
"Yes, that is unfortunate... But don't worry. She'll be fixed up in no time. Dr. Naputi's very experienced."
Dr. Naputi seemed to be pretty annoyed that his assistant and these students had met before and were exchanging pleasantries. But Ogilvy didn't seem to notice. Looking at us pointedly, Dr. Naputi snapped his fingers and brought Jin Ah back to life again.
"Jin Ah!" Sonia and I shouted.
"Don't talk so loud, my head feels like it's splitting in two," she grumbled.
"I wrote a spell for that," said Ogilvy helpfully, and pointed his wand at her forehead. Immediately, she didn't seem to be quite so groggy.
"Thanks, er...." she looked up and her eyes widened. "You're that... Ogilvy guy!"
He laughed. "Yeah, that's me."
"Well.... why are you here, if you were working at Flourish and Blotts last time we met?" she asked.
"Oh, that's just my uncle's place, it was an easy job for the summer to get me enough money for an apprenticeship with the school nurse. I'm training to become a Healer, you see."
"That's so cool!" said Willow, starting to warm up to him.
"Thank you!" he smiled pleasantly. "I don't believe I've met a lot of you, what are your names?"
"Don't get started with meeting more of the students, Ogilvy, you've got a full-time apprenticeship, you know! You can fool around on your day off."
He shrugged at us with apology in his face, and we waved goodbye as he turned back into the doorway from which he had come.
Dr. Naputi finished making sure her arm was completely healed, helped her off the bed, and she rejoined us. We thanked the nurse, and turned away.
"We thought you were a goner, Jin Ah!" said Will. "Why, if Sebastian hadn't picked you up, slung you over his shoulder and run you down to the Hospital Wing as fast as he did, you might not have made it! He saved your life, so in a way, I did. You'll have to pay me back by carrying out all of my bidding for the rest of your days!"
She responded by taking his broom from him and whacking him on the head with it.
"After I saved your life? So much for gratitude."
THWACK! Another hit.
"Alright, alright, don't give me head trauma...."
We had lunch. Or rather, since it was Saturday, brunch. Breakfast on Saturday carried on for another two hours after being served, so it tended to blend along with dinner food as well as breakfast food. I had myself another pile of bacon. |D Bacon....
After we'd eaten, we were at a bit of a loss on what to do next.
"I bet we'll have the library all to ourselves today if we go now," suggested Vi. "We could get a start on our books."
"That sounds boring," said Will. "I mean, I'm not dissing the reading business, but if we're all going to hang out together we might as well do something exciting. How about we act out Shakespeare in the library instead?"
"That's probably not allowed, mate," said Sebastian. "I mean, with the kind of trouble you get us into in an icecream parlor, what kind of punishment would we get in the strict and quiet library?"
"We have a new librarian, remember? She'll probably cut us some slack. Come on, guys, let's go!"
We followed him, mostly out of boredom. It was a stupid idea he had, thinking that this teacher would be any more lenient than the last, but what else would we do? Lay about all day with nothing to do?
"How about Romeo and Juliet? Let's do that. Yeah."
As we walked down the hallway, he started listing off a roll call for us.
ooc/ Anyone want a shot at the roll call? Go ahead. I chose Romeo and Juliet mostly because it has some really distinct and interesting characters and it's the only play I've actually read. ^^'' Just know that Friar Laurence is my favorite character. Will probably wouldn't cast me for that, though. ANYWAYS. ENDING POST NOW.

Will marched us up to the library. Again. I wasn't too thrilled. I loved Shakespeare and all, but I thought Romeo and Juliet was always...eh. It wasn't really to my taste, but hey, why not. I was the only one of my friends, pretty much, who wasn't (re-)joining Drama Club when it started up on Monday, so this could probably be my only real chance to act in some sort of amateur production. "Miss Nefries--" Will said rather loudly to the new head librarian. Several students shushed him. "Inside voice ... Will, wasn't it?" Miss Nefries corrected him gently. "Sorry," Will whispered. "Anyways, as I was saying, Miss Nefries, would you happen to have enough copies of Romeo and Juliet for our entire entourage? And would you happen to have a small area where we can act it out?" "Let's see ... Accio Romeo and Juliet! Perfect. Fourteen copies of Romeo and Juliet." We each took one copy and flipped through it expectantly. "And there should be a room in the back that should be big enough, and it's magically soundproof, so you can be as loud as you want." "Thank you, Miss Nefries!" Will thanked the head librarian softly. We headed for the back room as Miss Nefries had instructed. Will headed for the back of the room and stood in front of us. "Okay! Time for casting." Will flipped to the cast page of the play, as did everyone else. "We need twenty-six characters plus the citizens of Verona, so everyone will need to play two characters." Everyone nodded, hoping to get the roles that they wanted. "Since I'm leading this whole play, I shall cast the roles!" ... And this is what we ended up with for a cast: THE MONTAGUES Lord Montague - Katie Lady Montague - Savannah Romeo, son of Montague - Sebastian Benvolio, nephew of Montague and friend of Romeo - Edmund Balthasar, servant to Romeo - Katie Abram, servant to Montague - Laura
THE CAPULETS Lord Capulet - Will Lady Capulet - Rachel Juliet, daughter of Capulet - JinAh Tybalt, nephew of Lady Capulet - Kris Nurse to Juliet - Willow Peter, servant to Juliet's nurse - Charlotte Sampson, servant to Capulet - Sonia Gregory, servant to Capulet - Kris An Old Man of the Capulet family - Laura
OTHERS Prince Escalus, ruler of Verona - Vi Mercutio, kinsman of the prince and friend to Romeo - Will Friar Laurence, a Franciscan priest - Charlotte Friar John, another Franciscan priest - Rachel Count Paris, a young nobleman, kinsman of the prince - Sonia Apothecary - Turdblossom Alisa Page to Paris - Edmund Chief Watchman - Savannah Three Musicians - Willow An Officer - Turdblossom Alisa Chorus - Vi Citizens of Verona - Everyone not playing a part in that scene
"Okay! Everyone know their parts? Let's get this staaaaaaaaarted!" Will said excitedly. ooc/ Any problems/preferences, PM me as to not clutter the board. Everyone's probably going to get two parts, so keep that in mind. EDIT: Okay, I think I completed all requests for character changes, any further problems, please contact me. EXCEPT FOR LAURA. SORRY LAURA, I WILL FIX IT TOMORROW.

xD I think it would be like Miss Nefries for her to want to join in the fun, actually.... She'd probably hear what fun we were having, sneak in on us and ask if she could play a part.

The first thing we had to do, of course, was build the set. That was fun; we just had a street in the first scene, so we charmed the walls to look like houses and buildings and sky and the floor to look like cobblestones. Willow transfigured all our robes into costumes - that girl had some sort of obsession with costuming, she was fairly drooling at some of the more elaborate ones - and finally, we were ready to go. Our scripts were floating beside us, so that we could easily read the lines if we didn't know them, without having to hold a book awkwardly with one hand while, say, fighting with the other.
The scene started out with Vi, in the chorus. She was wearing some kind of insane fluffy white ruff thing. Willow had gone with the obese angel look for her. She gave the impression that you could stab her with a knife and it would take another foot or two before it reached flesh.*
She started speaking: "Two households, both alike in dignity ..." (etc.) "... shall strive to mend." She bowed and floated (literally) off.
Next, Sonia and Kris came swaggering onto the set. Sonia played Sampson, the braggardly fool, while Kris played Gregory, his snarkier partner. Sonia may seem sweet and innocent, but don't let that fool you - she's quite the covert pervert, and she played Sampson hilariously. We were in stitches.
*I just realized that this is a very disturbing metaphor. I blame the rap music. (actually, it's probably thanks to movies.) To be fair, my first instinct was about sitting on her, but that would just be weird.
(/ooc really short post I know but I was watching No Country For Old Men and reading about sandwiches and now I need to go study for Tran.
