I don't remember when I fell asleep, but when I woke up it was still dark outside and my vision was blurry. I rubbed my eyes and fell back on the bed. It was warm... and I brought my soft blanket... and it was time to get up. I groaned as I lugged myself out of bed and hauled my butt into the bathroom. I found my bag and got dressed and ready for the day.
As a bonus, I managed to do everything without hurting myself before I put in my contacts. When I got out of the bathroom, Sako was also awake, dressed and ready. All the other girls were just starting to wake up.
I forced back a yawn as a greeted her, "Good morning, my midget. How did you sleep last evening?"
"I'm not a midget. My sleep was very pleasant, thank you, Zu," she responded.
I laughed; and I interrupted myself with a yawn. The two of us wandered into the commons. When we arrived there was no one else - no one else awake that is. One of the rather famous fifth years, Micah Daniel Daniels (we always made jokes about his ridiculous name) was sleeping on one of the couches.
Sako sighed. "I bet he was kicked out of his room by the other guys again." I nodded in agreement. After her words, he snorted in his sleep and rolled over, falling on the ground with a 'thump'. Even so, he didn't wake up.
"Aaanyway, what classes do you want to have?" Sako asked me.
I thought for a moment. "Umm... I want to have classes with all the other houses so we can at least hang out with our friends," I replied.
"I hope we do. I don't want to be stuck by the Fremantles alone all day," Sako said. "Actually, I would rather not have any classes with them at all. Those two are snotty."
I agreed. They were rather rude, but I felt bad especially for my friends who weren't pure-bloods since the twins were especially aggressive towards them.
"Kris." I heard a guy's voice this time and turned around. The voice belonged to Sebastian who was wearing his pajamas and had a large cat clinging to his face. "I think this belongs to you."
Sako and I both burst out in laughter at the sight of Meri's attachment to Sebastian's head. After I started breathing normally again, I pried my cat off of him and held him tight against my chest; he was purring really loudly while I hugged him. I pet Meri between his ears.
"He just loves you, Sebastian," Sako teased. "Hm, maybe you should break up with Edmund/Will and fall in love with Meri instead."
"No, no, no," I interrupted. "Meri is my kitty. I'm not sharing." I pretended to be mad and stomp away, but it was hard to do when giggles were escaping my mouth.
Sebastian just blushed and looked away, before going back up to the boys' tower (probably to get dressed for the day). Sako and I sat down on the couch and chatted about our classes, before finally all the Slytherins had awoken.
I asked one of the prefects what the password was again, seeing as for some reason they thought me to be ditsy. I'm not ditsy, of course, I'm just strange. I reported it to Sako, "Right now, the password is 'power'. What do you think of that?"
"Ridiculous," Sako scoffed.
Once we had the key to get back in, we headed to breakfast to get our class schedules and meet up with our friends. When we arrived in the dining hall it was just as festive as usual. Sako spotted JinAh, Vi and Rachel over in one area so we headed over to meet them.

Six, the buzzer sounds and I wake up silently. No one else is awake except me and Kenna. We look around at the sleeping bodies, Willow sleeping on her side snoring a little, Laura looking very content and everyone else. I move slowly up and start changing. Once dressed I look over to see Kenna who is still dressing. I motion toward the door and head to the common. Once inside the warm area I sit on one of the chairs near the hearth and just watch the small fire. It shifts slowly around, trying to stay alive on two blackened pieces of wood.
"Hey," Kenna says getting my attention
"Yeah?"
"Tryouts are wendsday right?" I nod and then she continues. "Good, because I can't wait! Its going to be so fun!" I nod and then we exit to go running.
It took a lot of talking with the teachers to let us run in the morning, besides the idea of bad things happening to us, they thought we would do something bad. Then they came up with this idea, since we would do it, with or without their permission. We would either run with a teacher (which by the way is a terrible idea because they are bad runners and don't want to get up so early) or get these trackers on us so they would know exactly where we were. They only started up during the times of 6:30 to 8 during school, and we couldn't take them off, they were attached to our shoes. We walk out of the school quietly and decide to go around the lake three times to start off. We run quietly not talking to disturb the peaceful silence until it gets too quiet. Then we talk, not about important things, just silly, or pointless topics, we talk from the flavors of those magical jelly beans, to teachers and their odd behaviors. After we finish those three laps more or less around the lake we go toward the quiddage fields. Once there we do ten laps breathing easy with a slow eight minute pace and then once we finish we stop in the center of the field to stretch and rest for a moment before we go shower. The field was freshly cut and the lines sharp, ready for use and tryouts. This would be a great season and we would whip these first years into shape!

/ooc THE CONTINUATION.
We reached Hogwarts in due time and went up to the castle in the carriages - I still needed to look up what pulled them, I kept forgetting - after saying good-bye to Ellie and Gen, who would cross the lake with the other first years and Silas. The Great Hall was as beautiful as ever, and we all separated to go to our own House tables. I mean, we all had our sets of friends in each house, but it was sad to see the others leave. I could see Laura and Sonia making faces at each other, or something, across the enormous room.
"Wish they'd hurry up," Will grumbled. "I'm positively starving."
"You had seven pumpkin pasties on the train," I reminded him. "Along with four cauldron cakes, a case and half of Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Beans, twelve Chocolate Frogs, and I don't know how much water. And you're still hungry?"
"I'm a growing boy," he said, calmly pulling another cauldron cake out of his pocket - how he had wedged it in there, I didn't know - and stuffing it into his mouth. "I need my nutrition," he managed to eke out.
"Don't talk with your mouth full," said Vi reprovingly. She seemed to be looking down the table for someone.
"Who're you looking for?" Rachel asked her.
"No one," said Vi, blushing a little. She changed the subject. "What house do you think Ellie's going to be Sorted into, Will?" she asked.
Will sighed aggrievedly. "The question, fair maid, is whether yonder hat takes pity on me or not. Oh, she certainly wishes to be in noble Ravenclaw - she looks upon Gryffindor as buffoons, Hufflepuffs as simpletons, and Slytherins as the devil's messengers - but I swear upon my father's grave, if she sets foot in this house, my life will be forfeit."
"Your dad isn't dead," I pointed out.
"'Tis irrelevant."
"It's completely relevant-"
At this point, Headmaster Sceoppend rose to speak, and a prefect hushed us.
Well, you know what happened. Much to Will's horror, Ellie was sorted into Ravenclaw. Genevieve later followed her, and the two of them came bouncing cheerfully to our table. Will looked like he was going to die.
"My life as I knew it is over," he moaned, his head in his hands. "'Twill never be the same again."
"Oh, shut up and eat your dinner," said Rachel. She had her copy of The Iliad out on the table.
"You're reading that again?" I asked. "For what, the ninety-fifth time?"
"Oh, shut up. It's a good book." she kept eating.
"It would be fascinating," I said dreamily, "if Professor Achilles was actually Achilles ..."
"And Marchand would be Patroclus?" asked Rachel, her eyes glinting mischievously.
"Well, they are rather close," I said. "You know, we should stage a version of the Iliad. Sonia could be Helen - you know, the hair that launched a thousand ships. That hair."
"I would kill for that hair," Rachel said, quite seriously.
"I think my hair is much more beautiful than Sonia's," Will said, stroking it and looking at himself in his spoon. He turned to meet three horrified gazes.
"Take. That. Back."
"What? All right, all right! They're ... uh ... equal."
"What?"
"Fine! Fine! Hers is better! Now would you please stop pointing that wand at my precious face in that threatening manner!"
I did so. "Never insult Sonia's hair in front of me," I said.*
The dinner was, as always, delicious. It made the dinner we had made the day before seem merely good. The desserts were the best, however - Hogwarts had the best ice cream I had ever tasted. And I really, really, really, really, really love ice cream.
After we were all much too full for our own good, we began the trek up to Ravenclaw tower. It was a path we had followed probably hundreds of times before, and it truly felt to me like we were home - like we had come back to where we belonged. Even the occasionally annoying password was interesting, and Vi solved it easily. Once inside, we said good night to Will and went up to our new fourth-year bedrooms. I wished we could have stayed a little longer the common room - it was simply gorgeous, and so many books and desks everywhere! - but we really did need to go to bed, especially after staying up so late the previous night. We settled back into the dormitory, but not after Vi and I insisted on doing a cleaning charm on the entire set of rooms (Rachel rolled her eyes and said that it would all be perfectly clean, which was probably true, but Vi and I felt like checking anyway). When Agnes and Emily got there, we engaged in some polite catching-up before finally falling asleep. After all, we had classes tomorrow, and no Ravenclaw was going to get anything below an Exceeds Expectations in any class.
* this is, of course, a reference to HP1.
/ooc. this post is kind of boring. The reason is that I'm tired and sick and have to go to bed, and it's really only functional, to fill in that time gap.

//ooc I am going to TRY and catch up. Since I think it would be to no avail to try and start from meeting in Diagon Alley, I'll start from...the Sorting Hat Ceremony! Also. I think we shouldn't cluster into little groups as we have. I miss all you guys soo much, and I never see you, so it would be GREAT if we could all have more interaction so's i could feel like I really go to school with y'all. Until I figure out how i interact w/ the characters, i'm probably gonna lay off on dialogue.// Of course I had to start the evening by fingering both Laura and Sonia's hair. They both simply have amazing hair. In year two I used to accompany this with fluff like "Oh Laura, your hair is the color of goldenrods swaying in the amber waves of grain like a golden mountain woven through a sunkissed waterfall..." It is probably pretty obvious why I stopped. Other than that, I felt a teensy bit out of it. I had had the greatest summer imaginable--an educational trip exploring the Middle East. We went to important historical and religious sites, and we got to see the temple of Mecca. Beautiful can't even begin to describe it, and I won't try. The journey was fraught with peril--well not really, since we always travelled in armored vehicles, but still, it was a war-torn region--and we had even been in Tunisia during one of their protests. Luckily, we were safe in the airport on our way home at the time. However, the whole experience made me think about how much different the two worlds were--the Magical world was necessarily much less violent since it didn't have to resort to such things as machine guns and atomic bombs. But some things about the Muggle world pulled me so strongly that I almost wondered if I actually belonged here, as a Wizard. These doubts and worries were alleviated by my awesome, cool, super duper extra special to the 12th power special edition friends. Our antics on the way to Hogwarts made me forget the confusing feelings that had accompanied me on my solitary trip to London. It felt like I hadn't seen them forever, somehow. Some of them more than others. But it troubled me that we were somehow splitting off into different groups of friends. I had seen the phenomenon too many times at luch in Muggle schools--a whole circle sits together at first. Then certain people start closing themselves and a few other people off from the rest of the group. Backs are turned, and some people might sit next to each other and never speak. Pretty soon, there's a large mass of small groups, and although they identify with each other, they continue to grow further and further apart. It was almost scary to see how this could happen, and I loved my friends too much to let it happen to us. Before I could formulate a plan, however, I all of a sudden tuned back in to the world around me, and the station I picked up on was Laura awkwardly trying to talk to Nathan, a Gryffindor boy who we both knew but didn't know at the same time. I smiled when I saw this--I was reminded of my first conversation with her three years ago. We were both a little scared to talk to each other, but we also knew that we'd end up being really good friends. Over the clamor and crowdedness of the dining hall, it was hard to spot all my friends, but eventually I found them. As I checked off inventory (yes, I am the teensiest bit proud that I have enough friends to have to take inventory of them), I saw Sonia making strange gestures at La. Was this the Laura-Sonia mating ritual? WERE THEY LESBIANS? WHy didn't they tell me! I am totally fine being friends with beautiful lesbian women who might very well try to seduce me!! Then I realized that Laura was acting out being a Pygmy puff, and I laughed out loud, not only at Laura pretending she had a tail and fur, but also at the extremely INCORRECT turn my mind had taken. Not wanting to be left out, I made this face at Sonia (yes, this exact one): www.myfacewhen.com/386/ Unfortunately, half the Gryffindor table happened to be looking my way...or maybe they looked because my face was accompanied by the words "Pardon my mouth boogers" uttered in a loud French accent. "You know, sometimes I wonder why I still hang out with you." Laura always said that, and I replied with my usual non sequitur. "Why did the chicken cross the road?" Katie piped in with a weary "Why, Willow?" (ooc Katie, remember french class in eighth grade?) "Okay, well, there was this box. And there was a bowl of Cheerios. And then there was a girl. And she was in the middle of the road with the Cheerios. And the bowl of Cheerios got caught on the tail pipe of a really fast broom and then it died! IT DIED!!!! See, it's funny because bowls can't die!" I knew it was incredibly stupid, but I could never keep myself from rocking back and forth with laughter. To steady myself, I tickled Laura, but that pathway had yet to be explored when the Sorting began. After the Sorting Hat's awesome song, which never ceased to amuse me because the voice sounded like a badass British Betty White, I listened with anticipation for the houses of Ellie and Genevieve. I'd only just met them a couple days before, but they were so sweet. But I don't have siblngs...I never see the full picture, or at least my friends say. Ellie ended up in Ravenclaw (I could already see Will's face crumpling exaggeratedly--he was the only person I had ever met who could surpass me in displays of general overdramaticness), and Genevieve ended up in Ravenclaw. Okay, not to diss any of the other houses, but I kinda wished more people I knew were in Gryffindor. It was the perfect combination of brave, smart, loyal, hardworking, and clever that I believed could be found in some degree in all my friends--but I wasn't the Sorting Hat. I did not have the privilege of sounding like Betty White. "Lauralauralauralaura!" "Willow, you frighten me sometimes." "No, I just felt like saying your name." Laura, Katie, Kenna and I all had the usual vacation swapping stories on our way up to our dorms, but we all knew the real fun would begin after we'd been up for a while, high on lack of sleep. Strange things can happen at that time... Speaking of being high, one of the things I loved about the Wizarding world was the lack of stuff like drugs. I'd seen my Muggle friends try weed, hash, whatever they could get their hands on, all in the name of being in an altered reality for a few moments. Here, one could do something similar with a simple charm, and with no ill effects. When we got to the top of the stairs, we were greeted with a short but easy riddle. "If you could live forever, would you and why?"* La: "I would not live forever" Katie: "Because we should not live forever" Willow: "Because if we were supposed to live forever" Kenna: "Then we would live forever" La: "But we cannot live forever" All: "Which is why I would not live forever." It was obviously the right answer. //ooc: *http://www.funnies.com/ridquotes.htm//

"You got an Exceeds Expectations on the last exam, Nguyen," Professor Vector told me, handing back my paper, with a large "E" circled in red on it. I started to panic. Oh my goodness. An "E"? An "E"?! WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!
... Oh. It was just a dream. The new term hadn't even started yet. It was starting today. Diffused light was streaming in through the curtains around my bed. The early morning light lit up one side of my bed but not the other. I opened the curtains and stepped, looking at the sun, still low in the sky, and then, the clock. Seven-fifteen. Everyone else was still sleeping soundly, so brushed my teeth, washed my face, and took a shower as quietly as possible. After showering, I changed into my uniform, still delighted with how it looked. I took my wand out of its case and stuck it into one of the pockets inside of my robe. By the time I had finished, Emily and JinAh were also up, Ages was stirring, and Rachel was still sleeping soundly. I prodded Rachel, but she continued to sleep. Or ignored me. Probably both.
But, a quick Levicorpus followed by a Liberacorpus took care of that problem. By the time both JinAh and Rachel had finished their morning routines, it was seven-twenty-five, and breakfast was about to begin.
The three of us hurried down the stairs, trying to get to our intended destination before the perpetually moving staircases creaked and swung over to a different floor. On the way down, we met up with Charlotte, Saki, and Sonia.
"Hello!" JinAh said happily, while Rachel and I waved back at them.
"Hi!" responded Sonia happily, bouncing up and down. "Breakfast-is-about-to-begin-and-that-means-food-and-we're-getting-our-schedules-and-mmmmmmmmmm...food."
We followed Sonia, who was half-running half-skipping to the Great Hall, all eager to get our new schedules, less than concerned about breakfast. When we got to the Great Hall, a few people were already happily consuming breakfast food items. Each Head of House was standing like a sentry at the front of each of the house tables, ready to hand out schedules. This was where we parted, and the Hufflepuffs went to Aswyno, and we Ravenclaws headed towards Rigby.
"Fourth years, right? Three of you I see," Rigby said, as we stopped in front of her. With a wave of her wand, she pulled out three fourth year Ravenclaw schedules from the large stack. Rachel, JinAh, and I each took one and began reading it as we sat down.
"Today's Thursday, right?" Rachel asked, still a little sleepy.
"Yeah," JinAh replied.
"Awesome! We get to go to Arithmancy second period today~!" I said, excited to see my favorite class so soon. "Er, well I mean, JinAh and me. You'll have fun in Care of Magical Creatures, er, I suppose, Rachel."
(ooc/ I actually have no idea what class you're taking as your elective, Rachel. xD I'm assuming you're taking Ancient Runes.)
We sat down and filled our plates with whatever we pleased, and conversed about our schedule in between bites of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and blueberry muffins.
"Blargh, we have DADA with Slytherin, first," Rachel groaned. "I mean, I know we have awesome Slytherin friends and all, but I mean, that means we have to be around the Fremantles for an extended period of time."
"Well, after our elective, we get to go to Transfiguration," I pointed out. "With Gryffindor, which means that we'll look even better in Transfiguration than normal, which is still really good, naturally."
"But after lunch, we have double History of Magic," JinAh noted, disappointed. "But, I suppose that could be a good thing, since food makes us drowsy, and we sleep in that class anyways."
"Or use it for homework," Rachel pointed out. "Last year I used History of Magic in the morning to finish all of my other classes' homework assignments."
"Hey, that was my idea, Rachel," said Will, who was apparently up. "This schedule is decent I suppose, but I was really hoping that as fourth years, we'd get some free periods."
"That's for sixth and seventh years," Rachel pointed out. "Since they don't have to take any classes, besides their N.E.W.T.-level classes."
Will ignored this, as by this point, he was too engrossed in devouring his breakfast, reminding us of a dump truck eating rubbish. Slowly, we backed away from the table, having already finished our own plates, but Will was enjoying the food too much to actually care about anything past his plate with food stacked precariously on top of it.
(ooc/ I SHALL FINISH THIS LATER, FOR I HAVE LESSONS OF THE PIANO.)

I heard a distant voice call my name. "Soooonia. Sonia. Sonia! Sooooooonia? SONIA!!"
"Whuuuh? Blugh," I grumbled, and stuffed my head under the pillow.
It was Saki standing over my bed, staring down at me, her head creating the perfect curtain for the blinding morning sun. "SONIA. WAKE UP. Everyone else is up! You don't want to miss breakfast, do you?!"
"Nyuuu... Stay riiiight there.. blocking the sun.... waffle."
Saki sighed. "You are hopeless. And it's the first day! We're going to miss stuff!" She yanked the covers off of my bed. I groaned and reluctantly got up to get dressed and such. She was right - everyone else was already awake and sitting around waiting for me. I felt bad. So I hurried up and finished getting ready.
Charlotte, Saki, and I made our way down the stairs, to the Great Hall. I could smell the food. Hot dang. I loved Hogwarts food; it was positively the best. Then Vi, Rachel and JinAh came down the stairs too, and we happily greeted them.
Our group split up once again, the Ravenclaws moving towards Professor Rigby and us Hufflepuffs going to Aswyno. Schedule time!
We stood all in a line in front of him. Charlotte grinned. She liked Professor Aswyno, and for a good reason - he was definitely one of the more sociable and friendly teachers at the school.
"Hello, you three! I suspect you're some of our fourth-years," he said, drew out his wand, flicked it, and one scroll appeared in each of our hands. "Here you go. Schedule changes are still happening, so they may switch around if there are any problems."
We walked over to the Hufflepuff table. Saki and Charlotte were examining their schedules. I was going to wait until after I had eaten, so if there was anything unsatisfactory, the presence of food in my stomach would minimize any irritation I would exhibit.
/ooc kay guys I have no idea what the schedule plan is, so I'm going to leave this out of my post. I think the master schedule for fourth years should be up somewhere. So, c'est tout for my post! That's it! C: PS I really want Hogwarts food. Really.

ooc/ continuing from last time...
On our way out of the Great Hall, we stopped by to see our friends at Gryffindor, to see if they were ready to go upstairs as well, since Hufflepuff and Slytherin's common rooms were both in the basements.
"Hey, Willow, Laura, Katie, are you four going upstairs to get your things too? It's already eight," I asked them.
"Yes," said Willow, quite dramatically, "we are."
"Hey, we have Transfiguration with you guys today!" said Laura, happily and/or disappointedly. At the same time. Laura is capable of doing this.
"I just hope we don't get too much homework today," Katie mentioned, with a hint of worry in her voice. "I need to practice for Quidditch tryouts."
"Don't worry, Katie," JinAh said, "you always do awesomely, and I know you'll get in." Katie smiled brightly.
"So, what are we waiting for?" asked Rachel, who was already facing the doors of the Great Hall. "Let's get a move on!" We followed Rachel out the Great Hall and up the first set of stairs.
"The entrance to Gryffindor Tower is the Fat Lady's portrait on the seventh floor, right?" I asked.
"Uh huh. And the entrance to Ravenclaw Tower is on the fifth, correct?" Laura said.
"Yes, indeed."
"Then," Willow, being dramatic once again, "we shall part ways on the fifth floor." No one got to respond, because the stairs began to swing around and found a new landing, which just so happened to be on the fifth floor.
"There's the fifth floor right now!" Katie exclaimed. "Run! Run before the stairs movedagain!" By this time, Rachel, JinAh, and I were already halfway up to the fifth floor. But just when we were a few steps away from the fifth floor...
"Oh no! It's moving again!" JinAh said.
"Then move faster!" Rachel exclaimed. We made it just in time, and the stairs creaked and groaned and swung around to the seventh floor, and we waved good-by to our Gryffindor friends as they made a mad dash for the seventh floor. Thankfully, the stairway had deposited us right in front of Ravenclaw Tower, so not much more physical effort was required. Once we got in proximity to the door and the eagle door knocker, it sprang to life, once again.
"If someone were to use a Time Turner to go back to the time and accidentally kill himself, what would be the results?"
"Well, that's a little more disturbing than usual..." I noted.
"It's a paradox," JinAh said. "If he went back in time then killed himself, then he would have never existed. However, then he could have never gone back in time and killed himself. This implies that he still exists to have gone back in time. And et cetera."
"Good logic," the bronze eagle door knocker responded, before returning to its inanimate state and opening the door for us.
The three of us ran up the girls' dormitory tower to our dormitory, and found Emily and Agnes already packing up their things. We said hello and began packing our own things. I found my messenger bag and began packing my books first. I looked at my schedule. I would need no books for DADA (though I had already bought replacement copies, just never brought them to class, due to Professor Achilles', er, fiery abhorrence of textbooks), Numeroloy and Grammatica for Arithmancy, Intermediate Transfiguration for Transfiguration, and A History of Magic for, what else History of Magic. I packed them all into my bag, along with several rolls of parchment, a bottle of ink, several quills, and of course, my wand (though I kept that in my robes).
"I'm packed to go," I announced. And apparently so was everyone else. Our entourage (now with Emily and Agnes!) headed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, on the third floor. Agnes seemed a little bit worried, while Rachel was beyond excited about starting off the term with her favorite class. Emily walked rather like a princess, and the rest of us stayed kind of quiet, feeling a bit awkward talking about anything while she was walking like that. Emily almost missed the third floor because she was walking like that, and just managed to keep from falling because the stairs moved before she had gotten a firm grip on the ground.
"Well," Emily began, as if we hadn't been walking in awkward silence the whole time, "there's the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. Shall we enter?" And we did.

Willur, we Ravenclaws have tricky passwords because we're Ravenclaws, so we're supposed to be smart and learn stuff. Everyone else seems to have passwords about random shenanigans, except for Slytherin, whose passwords seem to be designed to show how evil they are.

ooc/ Short post because I've got stuff to do. But! I will continue later.
I looked at my schedule with a certain amount of trepidation. Charms was pretty much my favorite, and it would be with Gryffindor, so that was good! Then there was Herbology, which was kind of boring, but not all the time, so I was okay with Herbology. However, it would be with Slytherin. I was happy to be with Slytherin friends and all that, but again- Fremantles. And all those other muggleborn haters. Sigh.
And then, I'd seen it-- DOUBLE HISTORY OF MAGIC. And the other double class-- POTIONS. Why? Just why? Both of my abhorred subjects going on for TWO HOURS. That's right, I stressed things with italics AND caps.
I had to stop doing that.
I sighed and chewed off a bit of delectable sausage. Probably my third favorite thing about Hogwarts was its food. Such wonderful, magnificent food-- Three meals a day, seven days a week! AHA! Second-- Magic. Wonderful, nonsensical, beautiful magic. First-- Friends and adventures. (They both come hand in hand, don't they?) So oh well. Potions and History of Magic were a small price to pay. And I could finish up homework in History, then fall asleep. Reading the book was much more interesting than hearing them from his ghostly lips, anyways....
Sister! I glomped her, much to her annoyance, but eventually she surrendered her schedule to me.
"You've got DADA second, huh?"
She nodded. "What's that like?"
"Umm... It's defensive and offensive spells."
"Like...for fighting? Wouldn't they discourage that kind of thing?"
"Look at the name, dear sister, it's for defense against the dark arts."
"What dark arts?"
"The... evil forces out there. People use magic for evil, too, you know."
"Oh dear."
"Yeah. But with learning spells in that class, you can defend yourself against 'em!"
"Oh good."
"Yup!"
She went off, and I wondered how she'd do in that class. I smiled, shrugged, and went back to join my friends.
