lfurnpgurpn I realized that there's a mistake in the newspaper article in Charlotte's post (entirely my fault). Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is Carmichael Blake, not Oliver Renault. Oliver Renault is Head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.

"Minister Struck By Mystery Illness: Healers "Baffled"" Edmund read aloud from the Daily Prophet before taking a bite of his breakfast. He looked to be contemplating the headline. "Odd."
"What is?" Asked Shane, who happened to be sitting across from him, almost minding his own business.
"This headline. Isn't it weird that thi-" Edmund stopped himself from saying more, realizing that he was talking to Shane, who was nowhere near our conversation in the Room of Requirement. He looked to me, and then to Shane. I was sitting next to Shane, sort of sandwiched between him and Rupert. "Would you mind switching seats with me?" Edmund asked Shane, who looked utterly confused at the sudden question.
"Whaaat? But I like this spot." Shane whined, still trying to figure out what was going on. He looked to me and squinted, and I gave him a weird look. "Fine. But only for a few minutes, okay? My food is going to be riiight heeeere." He gestured towards his plate of half-eaten food, trying to make it absolutely clear that his food was going to be riiight theeere. He stood and traveled to Edmund's seat, while Edmund took his place.
"I'm sure the others will have seen this headline as well. We must discuss this." He said quietly, handing me the Daily Prophet. I looked it over and stood up, gaining the attention of Charlotte and Sonia, who had been laughing over a drawing. I gave a subtle nod in their direction, and turned to leave, tapping Edmund on the shoulder and motioning for him to follow me. We stood outside the Great Hall for about five minutes before Sonia and Charlotte came out to meet us.
"What's up?" Asked Sonia. I handed her the Daily Prophet.
"Isn't that rather odd? We find out that there's..." Edmund checked his surroundings before continuing, trying to make sure no one else overheard. Then he checked again. "something happening in Hogwarts..." He whispered, leaning in before straightening up to finish. "and then this gets printed, talking about how the Minister is ill." He finished, pointing to the Daily Prophet.
"It could just be a coincidence." Said Charlotte, trying not to blindly accuse anyone of anything.
"Pretty huge coincidence." I said, turning and watching the students walk by. "I mean with the Minister out of the way think about all of the power that's up for grabs."
"Oh, there's Jin Ah and Will!" Charlotte exclaimed, pointing to them approaching the Great Hall.
"Hey guys." Jin Ah waved as she saw us standing together. "What's going on?" Edmund grabbed his copy of the Daily Prophet and gave it to her. "...Ah."
"What? What? What happened?" Will asked, bouncy. He looked at the article over Jin Ah's shoulder. "Wow. Not everyday that the healers are "baffled"."
"Do you think this could've been planned by someone else in the Ministry?" Jin Ah asked.
"That's kind of what we're thinking, but we don't want to jump to conclusions. We should probably still call another meeting, just to be safe. Mr. Grey might have a little bit of insight on the matter." I said.
"Hm. Today's a little bit harder to manage that, too, seeing as we have classes."
"I suppose we'll just have to tell everyone to meet us back in the Room of Requirement. I'll get Mr. Grey. When should we meet?" Charlotte asked.
"After dinner. I'll get Vi and we can round everyone up." Jin Ah offered.
"Mmkay. Um...are we forgetting anything?"
"I don't think so."
"Oh! I forgot to tell you guys. I know someone who might have some information on our little imposter." I said, having forgotten about Adella's run-in with the poofy ghost almost completely.
"Who?!" They all asked.
"Well, I don't really know him. I know of him. And he's kind of dead."
"..."
"He's a ghost."
"We gathered." Jin Ah said bluntly.
"Yeah. It's that one who always carries his sword around. A Ravenclaw ghost. Adella said that he was muttering to himself about something being wrong in Hogwarts, so I thought I'd check it out. Due to that I might be a tad late to the meeting."
"Are you sure about that?" Jin Ah asked with a hint of concern. "I've heard he's not very social."
"I had a friend that met him once!" Will exclaimed. "Poor guy didn't sleep for a week afterwards." He shook his head.
"How come?" I asked, and Will looked at me like I wasn't quite right in the head.
"Because he was so scared, of course! And also maybe because he had a huge paper due that week, but mostly because he was scared!" Jin Ah facepalmed.
"Yeah. Okay. Going anyways. You guys round up everyone, call a meeting, blah blah blah. I'll see if I can get him to talk to me. Later." I waved a goodbye and walked to class.

How I loathed Herbology. It was mostly the 'herb' part. I was on quite friendly terms withe 'ology' portion of the word. This year in Herbology, we would be studying in Greenhouse Three. Likely, we would reviewing concepts and information that we had learned last year, so I was trying to brush up on last year's material, but I kept on confusing Trembling Firs (which produces a poisonous sap that causes incessant shaking when touched or ingested) and Shaking Cedars (which produce a non-poisonous sap, but have a tendency to shake wildly when approached by humans, often injuring/killing said humans). To do this, rather than eating breakfast in the Great Hall, I ate in the Ravenclaw Common Room.
At around eight-fifteen, I departed for Greenhouse Three. Along the way, I found Jin Ah and Will (who had been in the Great Hall) and Rachel (who had been reading in the library). Jin Ah and Will's faces were urgent.
"Read this," Jin Ah told Rachel and I, shoving a copy of the Daily Prophet into our faces. Rachel began to read out loud.
"The Chudley Cannons Continue Their Record Losing Streak... what, why is this important?"
"The other article," Will said impatiently. This time, I read.
"Minister Struck By Mystery Illness: Healers Baffled. And your point is? People get struck with mysterious illnesses all the time. It's just a coincidence that it happens to occur at the same time... that other stuff is happening."
"Yeah, but... We have a feeling this may be more than a coincidence," Jin Ah said quietly.
"So, basically, you're saying that the meeps are behind this?" Rachel asked in a whisper. "To grab power?"
"I suppose so," Jin Ah responded. "But in any case, we might have a lead on... who a certain someone is. We're all going to meet where we met last time after dinner."
I was thinking.
"Has anyone spoken with Sebastian lately?" I asked, frowning.
"Er, no, not really," Will said. "In fact, now that you mention it, I haven't seen him since last night. Which is strange, considering we're usually attached at the hip. Well. Plus Edmund. So, more a triangle I guess?"
"Why do you ask?" Rachel interrupted.
"Well... I remember him saying some stuff about his family. He's got an uncle in the Ministry right? And his mum and his sister are Healers, right? He's bound to hear something about what's going on through letters and whatnot. Perhaps he has some more clues about the magical world beyond Hogwarts," I explained.
The bells began to chime and we filed into the Greenhouse, our minds filled with thoughts of sugarplum faeries conspiracy and mystery.
Herbology was mostly uneventful. We reviewed basic plant types and scored a few extra points for Ravenclaw and Gryffindor respectively. Professor Albridge made sure that each student had a firm grasp of the Incendio spell so that on the offchance that a plant was legitimately trying to strangle/kill/maim us, we would at least be able to fight back and not be strangled/killed/maimed.
After the lesson, we were able to catch Laura and Willow and Katie and quickly briefed them on the possible conspiracy at the Ministry and our meeting after dinner.
After our Ancient Runes lesson, a few of us gathered in the library to compare notes from Arithmancy. Jin Ah, Kristen, and I had had Arithmancy on Thursday, but everyone else who was taking it in our group (Saki and Sako) had just taken it last period.
"Everyone solved #3 on the problem set and got '280,' right?" Kristen asked. A chorus of yeses. We continued to compare answer and notes until, inevitably, we became bored.
JinAh initiated the briefing sequence.
"... So that's what's going on," Jin Ah concluded. "Saki and the Pufflehuffs and the Gryffindors already know what's going on, so if you could tell the rest of the Slytherins in our legion (basically just Sebastian) that would be perfect, even though we're going to see everyone in about ... fifteen minutes, because we have Astronomy."
One hour later.
"... As a quick check of who as been doing their research, what planet or planets can be found in the night sky, currently?" Professor Sinistra asked as the entirety of the fourth year sat at our desks. "No one?"
I raised my hand. I didn't like to admit it, but I had always had a fascination with the night sky, and thus, astronomy, even in the muggle world.
"Yes, Miss Nguyen?"
"Mars and Saturn, professor."
"Very good. Ten points to Ravenclaw. And remember that every midnight on Tuesday, you will report to the top of the Astronomy Tower with your telescopes and logbooks to study the movement of the heavens. Are there any questions before I conclude the lesson? Ah, yes, Miss Venning?" All heads turned to face the blonde Slytherin.
"I just recently had a Divination class (I groaned inwardly, never liking Divination), and... do you believe that the planets can spell our future, professor?"
"No, Miss Venning, I do not believe so at all," replied the Professor, simply but firmly. "I will have no more discussion of how the heavens affect us, for this is a course that deals with the night sky itself, not what it might imply for us. Class dismissed" Her tone clearly stated that it was the end of the matter. Clara sat back in her chair, apparently a bit disappointed.
It was rather odd why Clara had chosen to bring up the subject of Divination so suddenly. Why? The planets in orbit... Mars and Saturn. Maybe Clara wanted to confirm something that she already knew? The possibilities were numerous. Maybe she had just been curious. But perhaps she knew more.

(( Remember guys -- a problem that comes with god modding is that sometimes characters are written in ways that their owners do not feel is fit. Let's incorporate the Gryffindors more into the story. They are part of the team as much as we are!! This has been a public service announcement ))
It was a Monday morning, and Monday mornings meant Transfiguration with Slytherin. After breakfast Charlotte, Saki, Edmund and I went into the Transfiguration classroom.
Professor Selachii scared a lot of people. It was probably because she had 100% control of her class all the time. I liked her, a lot of my friends liked her... it was more of the misbehaving kids who didn't like her.
"Welcome, class, everyone take your seats at once." The class sat silently and waited for directions. "Today you are going to learn how to turn any small object into a spider."
A bunch of girls in the back of the class squealed. Saki, who was sitting in front of Edmund, Charlotte and I, glanced over to us.
The professor took a quill from her desk and set it on the front table, right where Madeline Fremantle was sitting. "Araneola!" (( I totally bs'd that spell... it just means "small spider" /sobs ))
Sure enough, the quill morphed into a medium-sized spider. It scuttled around on the desk and onto Madeline Fremantle's finger. Madeline screamed bloody murder and waved her arms around to flick the spider off. Meanwhile, the class got a good laugh.
Selachii didn't speak a word but quickly put an immobilizing spell on the spider. "Now. I want all of you to take your quills and chant "araneola"."
The class started halfheartedly began transfiguring their quills. The boys were getting a huge kick out of it... but not so much with some of the girls.
"OH MY GOD, AAAAHH!! KILL IT! KILL IT! GET IT WITH YOUR BOOK!" Nicolette Collins screamed behind us. Rupert Pierpoint grabbed her transfiguration book and chased the spider around the desk before whapping it dead.
"Uh, araneola," I muttered. My quill turned into a spider, and so did Charlotte's, and Edmund's, and Saki's, and suddenly there were thirty or so spiders scuttling around the classroom and everyone was on chairs or running around or stomping their feet. It was absolute mayhem. I was confused as to why Selachii thought this was a good lesson plan.
In the middle of the chaos, Professor Rigby knocked at the door. "Professor Selachii, could you please send Seba--"
She opened the door and jumped back in surprise at the sight of all the students running around with Selachii standing calmly at the front of the room.
All the spiders found that this was an excellent time to abscond from the scene, and they scurried out of the doorway right past the Deputy Headmistress.
Rigby stared at the class, fuming, and everyone found their seat again. "Professor. I was going to ask if you could send Sebastian Blake to the Headmaster's office for a moment or two." She crossed her arms. Rigby was not one to be encountered while shenanigans were in progress.
"I would be delighted, Professor Rigby, but it seems Mr. Blake is absent from my class. He must be skipping."
Sako raised her hand. "But Professor, we haven't seen him since Saturday evening. He can't be skipping for that long."
Great. Now Sebastian was missing, PLUS there were thirty spiders -- thirty Mr. Grey lookalikes -- running around the school. This just added another layer to our issues. We would have to notify the others in our group of these developments as soon as possible, so nobody would be found trying to strike up a conversation with an everyday spider.
((Please pardon my terrible writing skills -_- ))

You are, after all, Sonia, the one who brought us the phrase "This was amusing and we thusly laughed." One of my favorite phrases ever.

You know what Mondays meant? It meant double Potions. With Ravenclaw. And no offense meant to the Ravenclaws, but Rigby definitely had favoritism, and when that's your worst subject, it means no mercy. I tried not to think about that during breakfast, though. No need to be glum over it when the class was far into the afternoon. And the column about the Minister of Magic's health was a bit distressing, but nicely distracting. Also, the bit about the ghost. This certainly called for a meeting. ...We needed a better way of doing this. Wouldn't all of us gathering around and whispering secretively to each other look suspicious to the infiltrators of the school? Especially since we were pretty much in a well spread-out arena of a Great Hall, the activity of the students so easily seen from where the teachers sat. I supposed we'd figure something out in our next meeting. Which was tonight, apparently! Lovely. So, Transfiguration! With Slytherin! I didn't mind Transfiguration. It was a bit tough sometimes, but if you did everything carefully enough, it usually came out okay. Otherwise, there were some amusing results. Edmund was engrossed in one of the advanced, technical books on Transfiguration that were laying about the classroom, as he usually did during this class. That kind of thing always interested him, finding out how the magic actually worked. I kind of enjoyed it, too, which was a bit why I secretly loved astrology. But oftentimes (especially in Transfiguration) it would get a bit complicated and boring, so it wouldn't keep me long. Edmund had already created a bunch of his own spells, however, something that often came in handy for that Invincible Trio of Blake, Blackwell, and Bridgewater. Thinking of which, where was Sebastian? Turning quills into spiders, today! Alright! This was going to be amusing. I managed a perfect spell this time, along with many others, much to the dismay of other students. Mostly for me, I couldn't control my giggling. Like I say, spiders were my favorite (yay for E. B. White!) and my room back home was in the basement, which absolutely crawled with them during the summer. Rigby's amusing appearance brought back the thoughts of what had become of Sebastian. I wondered if that newspaper article had anything to do with it, seeing as his father was a ministry worker and his mother and sister Healers. Still, it was a curious thing for him to be missing in any case. There was also the problem with the many spiders, however. Me, Sako, Kris, and the other Pufflehuffs looked at each other with meaningful expressions. I hoped and hoped that Mr. Grey had stayed put on the open page of Wuthering Heights I had laid out for him. I mean, I didn't exactly know if he was into that kind of book, but it should be at least somewhat amusing. Better than creeping around the castle all day. Right? Right? Then there was Astronomy, inwhich Bridgette earned us many more points for Hufflepuff and conspicuously Slytherin and Muggle-hating Clara Venning asked if Divination was real. Interesting indeed. Then there was lunch, and boy this one was interesting. "Everyone, you have to come and see!" little Jerome Williams shouted to anyone he could get within earshot as he ran into the Great Hall. "It's the Black Lake, you need to watch!" Intrigued, we all rushed to the courtyard where we could see the Lake properly from above. And it was magnificent, really magnificent. It was so magnificent that everyone had to gape with their mouths literally hanging wide open. The smooth, glossy Black Lake wasn't smooth and glossy anymore. In fact, it was bubbling, almost as if it was starting to simmer. "What the crap?" Laura muttered behind me, and I say I had to agree. Now the water was starting to contort and move, making strange gurgling and rushing noises. Before we knew it, the Lake had formed a gigantic whirlpool. We all gasped in astonishment, waiting for something more to happen. It did. At first you could only see the tip of the mast peaking through, but gradually came the poop deck, the sails, the bow and then the deck, revealing a huge, billowing ship arising right out of the swirling mass. It was somehow skeletal and eerie looking, with a decorative coat of arms depicting what looked to be a deer skull looking straight at you and two phoenixes flocked between the horns. Before we could get too excited about that, however-- "Everyone, look up! Look up!" shouted Bridgette. We did. There, appearing before us from behind a cloud, was a giant, huge, flying something. "It's a dragon!" shrieked a panicked first year. "Are you stupid?" our Ellie reprimanded her. "It's a flying house!" And, actually, she wasn't too far from the truth. As it drew closer, you could see the colossal winged horses that drew the carriage, but the carriage was the size of a large, powder blue house in River Oaks. Their coat of arms depicted two wands crossed, each emitting three stars, and it decorated the carriage doors. It drew over to the shore of the lake the ship had reached by now. From our high perch, you could see the tiny figures of who must have been Headmaster Sceoppend and Deputy Headmistress Rigby, having come out to greet the newcomers. "It's a dragon!" the same first year shrieked again. We all looked up. "Don't be ridicu--oh." This time it was. There was a real dragon, green scaled and bat winged and everything. It swooped right over us, barely brushing our heads, breathing fire onto a patch of bewildered grass a few yards away, presumably just for effect. It flew over to the shore where everyone seemed to be gathering (frightening the elephant horses. You could see their mad, flaming eyes from where we were.) But soon the sky was absolutely full of them, every one a different shape, size and color. They each also had five stars on their foreheads, arranged in a way to make a kind of "Y" shape. They twirled and swooped about in a dance of the sky. It was entrancing. When they landed, the dragons laid their heads flat down on the grass, opened their mouths wide, and people stepped out. We'd thought we'd seen the last of it, but we were wrong, of course. The air around us was suddenly pierced with a slowly growing high-pitched whine, until it became hard to bear and many of us were getting headaches. I pressed my palms to my ears. Then, with a tremendous CRASH, something came hurtling right out of the Forbidden Forest to our left. Covered with vines, tree boughs, mud, and other various debris, was a train, whistling as loud as it could and leaving a trail of dark gray smoke in it's wake. There was no track beneath it, it just kept driving on. The most interesting thing about it was the train seemed to be encased in nighttime, a serene and quiet nighttime. It was worn, torn, and bedraggled in its own personal darkness, but the windows were bright, golden, and cheery, and you could see tiny faces peering through it. On the engine you could barely make out the painted image of a lit candlestick in it's holder, a white quill crossing it at the bottom to make a fancy "L". It kept running right towards the lake. "It's gonna crash!" gasped Sako. "It'll sink!" cried Kris. For a moment we all stood there in horror, waiting for the people inside the train to drown. But when the great locomotive reached the water, all it did was glide over its surface, chugging water and creating a huge black wave that rippled with artificial moonlight. Hundreds of foreign students were now making their way into the castle through very heavily guarded and secretive entrances. ___________________________________________________________ ooc/ This happened just before they arrived. ...Lots of Dumbledore and McGonnagall influence here. "They've arrived so early!" Professor Rigby shouted after Headmaster Sceoppend as she tried to keep up with his long and urgent strides. "We didn't expect them until the end of October!" Alistair Sceoppend said nothing. "What does that mean, Alistair?" ooc/Sooo muuuuch influeeeence... "I'm not sure," he said bluntly. "Although I do have my suspicions." "What suspicions? "It's better I not say anything now. But it is very strange that everyone agreed with a date, and then suddenly all four schools appear at the exact same time on the exact same day." "So you think there was interference?" "Doubtless." "From whom?" "Again, it's best I not say. Don't want to spread any rumors when there might be nothing to them." "I wouldn't--" "No, no, of course you wouldn't," he said just a tad impatiently. "But you know how these things somehow manage to spread when first said. Hmm, that rhymed." "They walked another few brisk steps in silence, thinking. ""What are we going to do?" Professor Rigby asked. "We take them inside through the dungeon gate near the Black Lake, check every student and make sure there are no imposters, smugglers, or any kind of breaches in security. Then if all goes well, we take them into the Great Hall this evening and introduce the Goblet of Fire and the start of the Triwizard Tournament. "And if all doesn't go well?" Sceoppend shrugged. "I don't know." ___________________________________________________________ It didn't seem like we were going to meet any of these kids until later and lunch had ended by now, so our Pufflehuff and Ravenclaw friends banded together and started down towards the dungeons for Potions. Ugh, such a downer! Oh well, at least I could look forward to dinner and the secret meeting we'd be having afterwards. You know, if we could find Mr. Grey.... We found ourselves alone in a narrow corridor now, taking the long, scenic route. Glassless windows to our right gave a beautiful view of the airy mountains outside. "So, since all of the other schools are here, d'you think the Tournament will begin tonight?" I asked. "I don't know, they just barely got here. They might need a buffer day," said Jin Ah. "Yeah, but that's the entire reason they've come to our school," reasoned Edmund. "I'm sure they're tired of being cooped up traveling, now they want some excitement." "You guys want any autographs?" Will said, suddenly pompous. "Why would we want an autograph from you?" scoffed Rachel. "Besides, your handwriting's so sloppy even your signature looks like a chicken with inky feet walked across the paper." "You won't be laughing when I become Hogwarts Triwizard champion!" "Right, Will, right. You keep thinking that." "I will! As soon as they see my face, they'll have no choice but to pick me! I'm too awesome!" Jin Ah got to use a nice heavy Potions book this time. "Ow!" "Who exactly is they, though?" I asked. People looked over with confusion. "I mean, I tried to explain, "how are champions picked?" Vi attempted an answer, "I've actually been reading up on this, and Hogwarts, a History, says--" UGH. This was the sound of someone throwing themselves in through the windows next to us and landing very painfully on their right shoulder. A few of us screamed, a few of us gasped, a few of us just looked on in bewilderment. The someone was a man, very young by the look of his face. We observed his features closely as he rubbed his painful shoulder and stood up: Black hair that covered his ears and his eyebrows, dark grey eyes, a wispy chin, and a face that looked almost exactly like-- "Frankie!" Edmund shouted abruptly. "What on earth are you doing here?" "Oh, hey, lil' bro," the man said, waving a friendly and careless wave. "Didn't expect to see you here." "Cut the act, Frankie," Edmund hissed. "Just tell me what you're doing here." "Wait, this is your brother?" Will asked, astonished. "You never told me you had a brother!" "Why should I? I haven't seen him in years!" Edmund started to get angry. "Hey, chill, Ed," Frankie said, holding up his hands. "All I wanted to do was check up on you." "Why would you want to 'check up on me' now?" Edmund fumed. "Now's as good a time as any, isn't it?" Frankie asked, now just slightly nervous. Edmund gave him a glare that told him no, it really wasn't. "Fine, I came here to watch the Triwizard Tournament. You happy?" Then he gave Edmund a noogie.

In History of Magic, Professor Binns actually took a break from the normal, boring lecture about long-ago wars and such. Instead, he was giving a boring lecture about the Triwizard Tournament. For once, quite a few people were listening as he discussed the trials that had been the reason the tournament became banned.
I, of course, was half-listening as I usually did. Laura, Willow and Sako were located at one table, while Katie and I sat in front of them. "I can't believe all the students arrived here today!" Sako whispered.
Katie nodded in agreement. "I know, school has hardly started."
"You would think that the Headmaster would have announced it," Laura added. "Don't you think it's a bit fishy that none of the teachers even mentioned it?"
Willow and I were mainly focused on our notes, but we glanced at Laura and nodded (almost at the same time). The others checked the board and added a couple more sentences to their pages as well. "I hope no one dies this year," I whispered in a slightly joking tone.
"Kris! Come on, no one's going to get hurt," Willow whispered back. "I mean, they're trying to revive the cup. It should be safer now than it was 200 years ago."
Sako tapped Laura's shoulder, "Hey, what was that thing he just said about the champions?"
Laura glanced at her page. "Oh, um, none of them have the same wand core."
Class continued with a lot more notes and a couple more conversations about the tournament. By the time everyone was walking out of the room, excitement about the tournament had infected all of the students. I made a beeline for the Slytherin common room so I could get some homework done before dinner.
ooc: I'll make another post about the arrival in a bit

In case people are confused about the number of schools - Since it's kind of doubtful that two schools can cover all of continental Europe, and mainly for kicks and giggles, we added two schools to the list - Lichtstarke School for Witches and Wizards (Germany (main) + much of Eastern Europe + Austria + Belgium + Peopel who don't go to the other schools), and Academia Caput Draconis (Italy (main) + Spain + Portugal + etc.) Still Triwizard for sentimental purposes.
Also: Where is Sebastian?

I woke up around seven-thirty Monday morning. I had had some strange dream - something about wires, I think. Whatever it was, it left me feeling disoriented. I got dressed and went down to the common room, thinking all the while about the mysterious Cristofori Grey and everything he had told us the day before. I was inclined to trust him after seeing the note, but ... I had read enough mystery novels to know that even seemingly trustworthy people might not be so. Agatha Christie, how could you? (ooc see The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.)
Assuming that his story was true, though, we had a serious problem on our hands. And as stupid as Will could be, I knew that he was right - it was our duty to try and stop it.
I was so distracted by my thoughts that I missed a step and tumbled down the flight of stairs leading down into the Ravenclaw Common Room. Luckily, someone noticed the sound, and I fell onto a Cushioning Charm.
"You okay?" asked Emma Cassidy, Head Girl. She helped me up and smiled. "Ravenclaws have a tendency to get lost in their thoughts - I assume the same happened to you."
"Ow. Uh. Yeah. Thank you, Em!"
"It's nothing," she said, smiling. "Your friend Vi's over there, by the way." She pointed to where Vi sat, reading and eating, then picked up her bag full of books and announced to the mostly empty room, "Well, Ravenclaws, your Head Girl will leave you now. Study hard today, we're only a few points behind Gryffindor right now!" She waved and started to leave.
"Meeting up with Horatio again, eh?" called out Richard Berglund, a seventh year.
Emma whirled around. "For the last time, Richard! I am not dating Horatio! We're just friends?"
"Whoah, Emma," he said. "I didn't say you were dating him, you're the one that jumped to that conclusion so quickly." He grinned at her. Emma growled in response and strode out of the common room, muttering, "Bloody clever Ravenclaws," as she left.
I went and sat down next to Vi, who nodded in response. She was deep in her Herbology textbook.
"Say," I said. "Is Will upstairs? I was thinking I could sneak upstairs and prank him."
"Actually, Will left about half an hour ago," Vi replied, her eyes still not leaving the textbook.
"Why?" That was strange. Will hated getting up early, and he usually hung around the tower for a while even after his roommates had finally woken him up. "That sounds out of character."
"Don't ask me."
I could tell Vi wasn't going to be much conversation, so I decided to go find Will. I had a sort of suspicion - one I hardly wanted to admit to myself - that, well, this was the first time that Will had had the chance to be alone since our group met Mr. Grey, and perhaps his reason for sneaking out was because Will was reporting to someone? I hated to imagine that Will could be a muggle-born hating traitor - it seemed absolutely laughable when I put it that way - but fears rarely stay put because they're unreasonable or unwanted.
But where could Will be?
I saw the Gray Lady passing by, and called out to her. She was the Ravenclaw ghost, and she tended to be friendlier to us than members of other houses, so maybe she could help me?"
"Yes?" she said, gliding up to me.
"I'm sorry to bother you so early, not that you sleep, but, well, um, in principle, I guess, but - anyway, what I'm getting to is, have you seen Will?"
"Will?"
"Orville. Bridgewater." For some reason, the Lady persisted in calling Will by his given name.
"Ah, yes. I believe I saw Orville walking out of the Great Hall about half an hour ago," she said. "I'm glad he's putting some of his energy into nature."
"Ooookey," I said. I thanked her and ran out to find Will.
It wasn't hard; the second I walked out of the two great doors that formed the exit (or entrance) into Hogwarts, I heard a huge "OW!" that was definitely in Will's voice. It was coming from the Quidditch pitch. When I got there, Will was feebly stirring on a chair in the stands, groaning.
"What happened?" I asked him. "Did someone curse you? Did you see something suspicious? Why are you hugging a Quaffle?"
"Ouuuughhhhh," he moaned. "Euuuuuuuuuuuurrmmmmmm..."
"Oh, stop being such a wimp! Where does it hurt, Will?" I asked, drawing my wand. Apparently my actions looked threatening to Will, because he tried to curl up, then yelped in pain.
"Oh, hush, you! You'll have Achilles to thank for this - Episkey!"
There was a sharp cracking noise as Will's bones popped into place. He screamed, then sighed with relief.
"I owe you one," he said, gingerly sitting up and massaging his back. "I'm going to be bruised all over, I won't be able to hug Edmund or Sebastian for a week ..."
"I'm sure the nurse can take care of that," I said. The rather unfriendly nurse. Maybe he was our spy? He seemed unpleasant enough. "Now, what on earth were you doing to crack one of your vertebrae?"
"I was ... practicing Quidditch."
"You? Quidditch?" I couldn't help it, I burst out laughing. "Will, if you were on the Quidditch team, you'd probably turn one of the Bludgers into a dragon or something."
"Well, maybe I can actually do things right, okay? I am a Ravenclaw, after all. And I'm actually pretty good."
"You fell off your broom," I pointed out.
"That wasn't me being bad at Quidditch, that was me being bad at common sense. I accidentally put the wrong charm on the Quaffle to make it fly back to me just now, because I thought it would be cooler if it went faster, now and it socked me in the stomach and pushed me off the broom."
"Stupid."
"Don't rub it in."
"Well, I'm hardly a practiced healer, so we should probably get you to the nurse now," I said. "C'mon. And Will? Next time, just ask someone to go with you! Quidditch Safety 101, hello! Never play Quidditch alone! You could have died if I hadn't gone looking for you? You owe me your life!"
"My liege!" Will sank to his feet, and winced. "Probably ... shouldn't ... try ... bowing ... just ... now ..."
I eventually had to locomotor Will to the nurse's office (my classes were actually paying off for once!), only to find that the door was locked, and no one appeared to be there. Great.
Or maybe someone was coming to help? I could hear footsteps coming down the hallway, and who else should come at that moment than Oglivy!
"Oglivy!" I cried, grateful. "Where's Nurse Naputi?"
"I don't know," he said, frowning. Hm. Suspicious. "I'm so sorry you guys had to wait, I was having a quick chat with Professor Albridge about the Dancing Daisies my mother's trying to grow. What's the problem?"
"I broke my back falling off a broom," Will groaned.
"I used Episkey to do a quick fix," I added, "but I don't think it was completely effective."
"Well," said Oglivy, "Nurse Naputi actually has a special potion he uses for broken bones and muscle sores - you're in luck! Come in for a sec and I'll have it out for you." He unlocked the door and we went in - me sitting on a spare bed, Oglivy bustling around in the potions cabinet, and Will floating in the air like some strange, woeful cloud.
"Here we go," said Oglivy, coming out with a cup full of some strange, murky-looking puce-colored substance. "Open up!" he said cheerfully. Will took the proffered potion, making all sorts of faces.
"Drink your potion, or I'll drop you again," I threatened him.
"Yes, mother." He drank the potion in one quick gulp, and a smile broke over his face. "It tastes like - it tastes like -"
"Yes?"
"It tastes like garbage," he said, gagging.
"Do you feel better?" Oglivy asked.
"Oh yeah, loads! I feel like I could run a marathon! I could wrestle Mortimer Fremantle to the edge of the valley of death! I could punch a bear in the face!"
"I'd better take you down to breakfast before you do something stupid," I said. "Thanks, Oglivy."
"I'm delighted I could be of service."
I walked Will down to the Great Hall. Will was bouncing slightly on the way, but his bounces started wearing off after a few minutes - it seemed to be an aftereffect of the potion.
"Hey," he said. "What's Edmund looking so concerned about?" Indeed, Edmund looked very worried. What had happened?
(and this is where we come into Saki's post.)

Astronomy had been extremely interesting, due to the legion of surprise visitors showing off at the Black Lake. The commotion followed everyone to lunch, and the majority of people in the Great Hall were causing an uproar over the event. If you listened close enough to any conversation for a certain amount of time, it was almost guaranteed that you would hear a "Did you see it?" or a "DID YOU SEE IT?". I had been talking to fellow Hufflepuffs about it(or they had been talking to me about it) for a while, before suddenly remembering that it would probably be a good time to go look for that ghost Adella had been talking about. I would need a headstart, seeing as apparently he likes to move around a lot.
I told Charlotte, Sonia and Edmund that I was going to go look around the castle. "By the way...does anyone know his name?"
"You don't know his name?" Charlotte asked, kind of baffled that I was going to go look for him without even knowing his name.
"Nevermind, I'll just...guess or something I dunno." I shrugged, knowing I'd figure something out.
"..."
"Yeah not really going to guess but I'll figure something out." I said, which didn't seem to put Charlotte at ease at all.
"Do you think maybe someone should go with you? I mean...Will said he wasn't all that friendly...and if you got on his bad side while alone, then..." Edmund tried to explain, looking a little concerned.
"Do you wanna come, then?" I asked, not thinking he would say yes.
"Well, I mean if you really wanted me to come, then..."
"Well gee don't sound so enthusiastic."
"Well, I mean..."
"C'mon. I'll take you and we can round up a few others." I told him, and he seemed a little relieved.
"Okay. I'll get Will!"
"No. No Will. Where there's a Will there's a...well, there's a Will. And that's not exactly conducive to finding quiet ghosts."
"Oh..."
"Well now you look sad."
"No..." He said, looking sad. I sighed.
"Fine, go get Will. But you're responsible for him." I said, before turning to go look for others that would be willing to help us find the ghost.
I made my way to the other tables around the Great Hall, gathering Willow and Kris. Jin Ah was rounding up a group to go find Sebastian, so everyone else went with her. A small group decided to go to the library for research, including Vi, Sonia, and Charlotte.
"Where's Will?" I asked Edmund, who came back empty-handed.
"He went with Jin Ah to go find Sebastian." He said, looking a little sad. I raised an eyebrow.
"Do you want to go find Sebastian, too?"
"Nope. Will's got a handle on it. I'll go with you guys to find Alis." He said with a small smile.
"Aw...Wait who's Alis?"
"The ghost. Will told me that the ghost's name is Alis! Alis...Bal...duck. Or..." He thought about it.
"Alis Baldulf?" Asked Willow.
"Yeah! How did you know?"
"I've heard that name before! He's a ghost of Ravenclaw, isn't he?" She turned to me.
"I think so." I said, trying to remember if that was correct or not.
"Um, guys? We should probably get going, we don't have all day." Kris said impatiently, tapping her foot. I agreed and we set off, asking the occasional student if they had seen him.
We checked several floors, looking for any signs of ghost activity. I had been listening for muttering, as Adella had said something about Alis muttering when she came across him.
"So Willow, what all have you heard about Alis?" I asked, walking up another flight of stairs.
"Not too much. I heard he was a Ravenclaw, and that he died fighting and broke his prized sword. And.."
"Will says he's scary." said Edmund suddenly, sounding like a little boy talking about his big brother.
"I heard he's more depressing than scary. Someone said he died in a battle over his girlfriend or something." Kris said nonchalantly.
"I don't think she was his girlfriend, but I did hear the thing about him dying in a battle over her. I think her name was Isabella." Willow thought about it. "I can't really remember much about the story. I heard it from a fourth year during my second year, and even she didn't know much about them."
"Huh." I was interested in hearing the whole story.
We got to the fifth floor and spread out to search. I checked a corridor here, a corridor there, behind a vase, under a vase...basic protocol for any serious search. I heard a muttering sound coming from around a corner and backtracked to check it out. I peeked around the corner, trying not to make my presence too known, and sure enough there was a curly-haired ghost facing a corner. He was muttering to himself about something I couldn't quite make out. I scrambled to locate the others and motioned for them to follow me back to the ghost.
"...Alis?" Kris asked hesitantly. The ghost moved his head but did not turn towards us. Edmund looked intimidated, and paler than usual.
"Uh..." I started, trying to choose my words carefully.
"Go Away." Alis spoke, his voice smooth but sharp.
"Well, um..." I looked to the others, who were looking at me waiting for me to finish. "A friend of mine heard you talking about something wrong in Hogwarts, and I was just sort of wondering what you meant when you said that?" I could hear myself get quieter towards the end of my sentence. I was kind of disappointed that I sounded more like a worried student than someone who wanted answers.
"What does it matter?" He turned to face us, his big eyes looking down on us. "Of course there's something wrong, there's ALWAYS something wrong!" His face was suddenly very close, and I had to keep myself from jumping back. In a second he was back to his previous position, looking down upon us. "Besides, you're still students. You shouldn't be worrying yourselves over the inner workings of Hogwarts."
"So you admit that there is something going on inside Hogwarts?" Edmund asked. The ghost's eyes narrowed at the boy.
"Tch...It's nothing." He turned to leave.
"What happened to your sword?" I asked quickly, before he had a chance to leave. He looked back.
"...It's lost." He said, a look of sadness and distance on his face. "And it's never coming back." He turned back to his corner and began to mutter. While he muttered his shoulders sort of shook, enough that you might think he was crying if you hadn't seen him moments before.
"What happened to it?" Willow asked him sympathetically.
"It was stolen from me."
"How do you steal a sword from a ghost?"
"How does an everyday statue come to life? Magic, of course. This world is unfair. Asking me such things is useless. My sword can never be brought back. It's gone forever." I could see why people called him depressing.
"If we got it back for you could you tell us about what's happening in Hogwarts?" I asked him, piquing his interest. I could feel the "Are you crazy?" looks from the others, but I paid them no attention.
"No."
"We know about the quill." Edmund whispered, glad that most people were still downstairs and not hanging around the fifth floor. Alis whipped his head around and faced us.
"How do you know about that?"
"How do you know about that?"
"..." His eyes narrowed again. "Guh. My sword. Locate it. It should still be in the castle. Before you ask, I'm not sure who stole it. But they couldn't have gotten far with it. It's not something you can just leave the castle with. If you locate it, I will tell you what I know. In the meantime...be careful. Tell no one about this." He flew off, and left us standing there.
"..." We were all silent, unsure of what just happened.
"...Class starts soon. We should get going. And tell the others what happened at the meeting later." Kris said, dazed.
"Let's go."

Students poured into the Great Hall as soon as the doors opened, the students of each house finding seats at their respective tables. I was walking in front of Sako who was holding my scarf like a leash so that we wouldn’t be separated in the confusion.
“Hey let go!” I groaned, trying to pry my scarf out of Sako’s hand.
“It’s September, I don’t understand why you’re wearing a scarf!” she scolded me, but finally let go of my comfy green-and-silver house scarf. I petted it protectively as I sat down, sliding down the bench until I ran into a second year Slytherin.
“Oops, my bad!” I said, laughing awkwardly. She glared at me, then pretended as if I didn’t exist and stared at the empty plate in front of her. I swore in my head for being such a klutz, then scooted back over toward Sako with my mouth shut.
“I can’t believe Sebastian’s missing again,” Sako said, glancing up and down the Slytherin table for any signs of him. Still, no Sebastian. We waited where we were for dinner to start; Clara Venning and Mattie Judith joined us. Sako cast me a meaningful look, and I nodded back. We both remembered her question in astronomy, but neither of us wanted to discuss it. Mr. Grey was, after all, a convict.
All of the Hogwarts students were seated and getting settled when Sebastian finally slipped up and sat down next to me. “Hey!” Sako called at him. “Didn’t fall in the Lake again, did you?”
Sebastian sighed, “No, Sako.”
“Wait, wait, wait,” I chimed in. “What happened to you guys? As you know, I went with Saki to go find that ghost... but what’s your story?”
A deep frown crossed Sebastian's face, “Well, I was taking a lovely stroll by the lake when I saw something in the lake. So here I am, investigating, when out of nowhere I get grabbed by Clabberts! And, well, I was out for awhile, but next thing I know, Katie and Sako are dragging me around while Jin Ah is trying to get the things off her. After that, we tried to get away from them by grabbing onto some wood from a boat that had been crashed near the Clabbert nest. The four of us all were grabbing on to it when we got knocked into the lake and floated back to the grounds. We get inside the school, soaking wet and running to class, when professor Rigby shows up. Because of, um, the incident, we lost a lot of house points.”
“...and now we have detention every morning for the week,” Sako added.
“Ah,” I said.
And with that ah as some kind of cue, the Headmaster rose from his seat at the staff table. The talking fell to silence within three seconds after he did so. Next to Professor Sceoppend, Professor Rigby looked positively annoyed. I noted a purposeful glance cast in the direction of Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and our direction. Sako and Sebastian noticed as well.
“As Hogwarts is hosting the legendary Triwizard Tournament, five other schools have been invited to come to our school in order to compete.” the Headmaster announced. “I would like you all to give them a warm, cheery Hogwarts Welcome!”
The doors of the great hall opened up again, and this time the students filed in looking prim and proper. They were all, I noted, at least fourteen years old. The first school that entered was led by a gruff-looking man, and most of the students were guys.
They walked military-style, in a perfect square, and were dressed in heavy coats. “Durmstrang Institute,” the man in the lead introduced in a hard voice. “And I am Headmaster Radoslav Konstantin.” He nodded and all of the students bowed simultaneously, before the group moved out of the way for the next school.
This crowd was the opposite, the mainly female group fluttered in elegantly, dressed in a light blue. They formed a line as a short, angry-looking old lady forced her way to the front of the group. She coughed dramatically looking across the Great Hall to make sure she had the attention of every person in the room. “My name is Fifi Fortier,” the woman introduced herself. “Headmistress of Beauxbatos Academy of Magic.” She paused before ushering her students toward where Durmstrang was standing.
Will looked as if he were about to make catcalls as they walked past, but Jin Ah smacked the back of his head. Even though she wasn’t looking at me, I nodded in approval.
For the next school, the headmaster stepped out alone. “Lichstarke School for Witches and Wizards,” the man spoke gently, but plenty loud for us to here. “I am Xaver Wolfgang, the Headmaster.” He stepped to the side and the students entered. They had a perfect male-to-female ratio, because the students entered in couples with their arms linked, bowed, and then walked to the side. The school was apparently huge, because it seemed to have brought as many students as Durmstrang and Beauxbaton combined.
Finally, that school finished their intro, and what I hoped was the last school entered. Led by two adults - one man, one woman, the students entered into the hall in a giant blob, chatting with their friends and acting casual. “Ahem,” the man began. The students snapped silent.
“These students represent Academia Caput Draconis,” the woman spoke. “Vaz.”
“Sí, sí,” the man said again with a thick accent. “We are co-Headmasters; Manito Gurerro,” he pointed to the woman, “y señora Felicia Guerro.” (I was assuming at this point they were married.)
The last group seemed to have finished. The Hogwarts Headmaster raised his hand, and the Great Hall extended to an even greater size. After it stopped moving, four tables appeared - and the outside schools each found a table.
“Now,” Professor Sceoppend called out, “Let the feast begin!”
“Good. All that listening made me hungry,” I said, laughing, and started piling food upon my plate. Sako didn’t even return a snarky comment because she was also gathering food. Sebastian looked at the both of us, somewhat amused.

Remember, we also have to introduce the Goblet of Fire. Maybe at the end of dinner?

I thought they didn't bring out the Goblet until October 1, so that it would give the decisions on Halloween. Anyway, I'll put that it when I fix the post for Sebastian's story too.

"HEY!" Will hit me on the head, a change from the regular. "What is wrong with you?"
"OW!" I hit him on the head in response. "What's wrong with YOU? I just saved your life, like, four hours ago!"
"My best friend and soul mate is missing!" he said. "See?" He pointed to the Slytherin table, where there was a definite absence of Sebastian.
"Maybe he's sick?"
"We were just in the hospital wing! He's not in there?"
"So what are you saying?"
"I'm saying we should look for him!"
"You know what," I suggested, swallowing the last of my sandwich, "maybe Sako will know?"
"Well, then, let's go talk to her." He grabbed my robes and started pulling me towards the Slytherin table.
"Sakoooo," I called on our way. "Sakoooooo?"
"Yeah?" Sako looked up. "Why is Will-"
"Where's Sebastian?"
"I actually haven't seen him since last night," Sako replied.
"Yeah, he just sort of disappeared after the meeting," said Kris.
I made a small sound that must have registered as alarm and distrust, because Will turned to me and said, "No, JinAh, it's not because he's a spy. He's our FRIEND, okay? And we are going to go look for him. Sako, come with us." We both found ourselves being dragged along by Will.
"Wait, wait, wait," I said. "Just us three?"
He stopped to consider. "All right, go grab a coupla Gryffindors. I shanghied Katie and Laura into joining us, and we started up one of the staircases.
"So, exactly why are we going upstairs?" Laura asked.
She had a fair point. I didn't actually know why we were going upstairs.
"We don't have any sort of lead," I said.
"Actually," said Sako, "There's a portrait by the staircase leading up from the Slytherin Common Room that we could ask. He could tell us what direction Sebastian went."
So we went there, back down the staircase and through a few corridors. The portrait turned out to be a bored-looking young man looking at a map.
"Oh, that blonde kid?" he said when we asked him. "Yeah, he was heading towards the exit. Seemed to be worried about something."
Following this tip, we went out to the grounds.
"If this turns out to be a wild-goose chase," Sako warned Will, "I swear, I'll .. do something awful."
"Why don't we ask Professor Black?" Katie suggested, pointing to where the Care of Magical Creatures teacher was tending to some pumpkins. "Hey, Professor Black!" she called out.
He weaved at us, and we went to talk to him.
"What do you kids need help with?"
"Sunday night Sebastian Blake went missing. Do you have any idea where he is."
"Who?"
"He doesn't take this class, doofus," said Laura, hitting Will on the head.
"Slytherin, average build, dirty blonde hair," I told him. "This would be around ... what time did you say, Sako?"
"Eleven."
"Eleven. So past curfew."
"I think I remember some kid passing by, actually. Looked like he was headed for the lake, by the forest."
I thanked the professor for his help and we left.
We scoured the area that the professor had indicated, but could find nothing. Or so we thought. It wasn't for nothing that Katie played Quidditch.
"What's that over there?" she asked.
"What?"
"That brown thing."
It turned out to be a shoe.
"That's Sebastian's shoe." This from Will.
"It could be anyone's shoe, a lot of students wear that shoe." That was me.
"No, it's Sebastian's. I remember that distinct pattern of scuff marks, I kissed his feet once."
"We did NOT need to know that, Will," said Laura dryly.
"But this is good! A clue! This shoe is right by the forest!"
"Don't tell me we're going in the forest," said Sako.
"Of course we are! Sebastian is in there! If his shoe fell off, he was probably taken by force!"
"Oh, come on, guys," said Katie. "It's day, there are five of us, and we're all pretty good at magic! We can handle the forest."
So we went, despite my repeated mutters of, "We are so going to get in trouble for this," "Will, if we die like this, I'm going to kill you," and "I swear, if I hear a hissing noise one more time, I'm going to blow this thing and go home."*
In my defense, the green-gray trees overhead created a curtain of solitude and seemed to have cut us off entirely from the safety of Hogwarts, and it was very, very creepy.
"What was that?" Sako's head whirled around. "I heard hooves."
"There are centaurs in the forest," Katie reminded us. "Don't be wimps."
"Yeah," said Will, nervously. "I mean, who'd be scared of centaurs? They're just big ... ponymen. Haha. Seriously, ponies!"
"Uh, Will," said Laura slowly, staring at a point slightly above Will's head (as was Sako), "I'm not so sure you should ..."
Slowly, Will, Katie, and I turned around.
"Good afternoon," said a centaur. He smiled. It wasn't a nice smile.
/ooc TBC, have to go to bed now.

Centaur! I have always loved centaurs, but this one. did not look happy at all! I was with Jinah, Laura and Will and maybe some other people but I really couldn't remember why. All my thoughts turned to the centaur and i thought in my head. "Oooh nice hooves." and indeed his hooves were nice. I felt extremlly distracted this week. Earlier last week I just blocked out half my classes. School was nice but not too nice. Anyway this centaur was mad because Will insulted him. Calling a centaur a pony is like calling a wolf a puppy, a troll an elf and even a teacher a toddler. It was insulting and well dumb. It was just asking for trouble. But of course he had to say it and then like in a movie he was right behind us. Will made a little "eep!" sound and I smiled at him. He was a really big centaur. He had dark tan legs with a very musceled stomach. What was more disturbing for Will was the giant bow around his back. It was a longbow and could be actually Will's size. His arrows were thick and if I saw correctly his tail twitched very annoyed. This guy looked very miffed. "Hello..." Will says after a pause. Laura giggles a little bit and then covers her mouth. "Why are you here? Especially past curfew?" He looks at us with a solemness and Will shrinks a little more. "Well we are looking for a friend." Jinah says finally"We found his shoe" she holds up the stinky shoe "Why don't you check tomarrow?" "Well he might be in danger!" I say suddenly. "So? You might be in danger, there are bad things in the forest not just wimpy ponies like youve seen, real larger than life creatures." he looks at Will when he says the last part, Will swallows a little. "We need to find him sir." Jinah says "Well I can't help you." "But" "no. Now go along now." We head out of the forest for a moment and after we hear recedding footsteps I and all the other whack Will. "Nice going." we say and then carefully sneak back in the forest.

To continue and add my furry little friend Ranger in the story Okay y'all I know you will get mad but you got to admit that dog does look cute! Anyway lets see As we are sneaking back to the forest we here a bunch of furry footsteps. "Oh no! Not another centaur!" Will says slightly in a moaning voice. We drop down and hide, but the flurry of steps come closer. The footsteps don't sound like a centaurs more like a small animal. Finally it stops. We wait and then wham. out of the bushes it attacks Will with ferocious....licks. Will screamed but once everyone started laughing he stopped. Then he saw what was funny. It was a small black and grey puppy dog. With bright blue eyes. Everyone looked at it strangly. "Ranger! Come here!" I say and then Ranger bounds over and licks me too. Finally when he subsides Jinah and Laura berate me. "Why do you have a dog!" "You know its dangerous!" "You could be expelled!" All these words go through them but I smile. "Sorry guys, but remember Ranger my cat? The one that went missing? This is him. I like him better this way, more obedient." "WHAT? That is NOT your cat Katie!" I nod and smile at Jinah "Yeah it is, you know I'm kinda bad at transforming items, so one day I tested it on her and he turned into a dog. I can't change him back though. I think it stuck permentatly." "I will fix this." Sako says but I grab her wand ferousiously. "NO I called him. Don't change him because I showed him to you. He is a very good magical scent dog. He can find whats his name?" " Sebastian" Will says flatly "Yeah him. So give me the shoe, maybe after this adventure we could change him back. "All right then..." Jinah says and then after giving Ranger the shoe for a moment follows his fast figure. "And you know whats best? He can smell centaurs and stay away from them!" So yeah....you can change him back if you want but it helps you out. And I think he is adorable

Okay since no one is writing and I am bored I will go to the nest of spiders, you can decide what to do then. We walked and walked and walked, I didn't have any problem staying up with Ranger but the others...well they were lagging they didn't have my experince and diligence in Quiddige. True I might have gotten out of shape once or twice but I bounced right back. My skills would have gotten me to when the games but of course it has to seven years. Blech it should of been me, but no one gets to know that, im too cool for the cup. I would of gotten it easily, as long as it didn't involve swimming. Anyway we had to stop many times for them and I think if I understood my muttering they compared me to the dog and its eagerness on the chase. I shook it off however and offered lovely advice. "Come on guys you can do it!" "Your doing great!" "Push! Come on!" they just continued to grumble and go at the snail pace however and I just shook my head in sadness. They seemed all depressed, but why!? It was an adventure! And as Kristen said adventures were always fun, and they were. Walking over the tree roots only traveled by centaurs, and spiders. Oh and unicorns. Those awesome beasts. Finally we got to the clearing. It was litterally a spider pit. There were many many spiders big and small walking around they all went into this tight white webby hole and I assumed that Will was to be there. When we saw them Ranger stiffened like a pointer and pointed. We wouldn't have been detected if Will didn't squeal, but of course he did and then all eight million eyes were on us. They stared and then the biggest one walked toward us. I put Ranger in my arms scared. "Who are you?" the spider spoke "I am Jinah, and these are my friends we are looking for Will. A boy you took." Jinah said taking the lead. "Ha, he is ours. You cannot take him." "Yes we can!" Laura said and with a swoosh all of our wands were drawn, except mine cuz I was holding Ranger. "Hahah try it." The spider mocked then Jinah did a fire spell and blinded the spider, he started catching on fire as he spoke. "I will get you! And your little dog too!"* and with that all the spiders rushed at us. From the tinniest black widow to the largest twenty pound ones. *Note Wizard of Oz reference XD
